I was thiking that it might be better for my wife to fly here for her POE but the last trip I was there and saw all her shoes, just that alone would fill the trunk of my car. We would have to have ground transportation to move all her stuff. You have only been living there for 2 years woman, how do you have so many shoes?!?!

LOL...that it is...maybe I can actually AFFORD a few extra bags, or to ship some boxes, at that price! :D

The sticker must have a +2 cloak of invisibility. I give it major props for using it at the "best" time!

LOL...don't tempt fate, just believe "the truck will be fine, the truck will be fine..." :P

and rolled a natural on the D20 for a bonus.

Ya I'm worried about the truck lol, but I have AAA, I'll call them if indeed it does have 4 flat tires and a dead battery.

Uh oh...do we need some special documentation to import a bike? Max's is like a billion year old used bike that he paid $40 for, but he is seriously attached to it...I just assumed that was covered under the "used household goods" that he is allowed to bring in for free.

if it's older than 2002 they have an exemption for it. NTSA link

He can bring it in for free, but anything newer than 2002 has to have either the EPA sticker OR a letter of manufacture

Oh, oops, I thought we were talking about bicycles. :) I guess it doesn't make much sense for a bicycle to need an EPA sticker... :bonk:

Hubby has already started going through his stuff and pitching what he doesn't want to keep. He is not moving any furniture. I put my foot down on the 1970's living room suite he inherited from his parents basement.

The biggest part is going to be his tool box, tools, and motorcycle. oh and the 60" plasma TV.

We're moving him in our Explorer and a 4x8 trailer we bought.

So...just checked payment portal. Nothing yet. Still get "this case is in the process of termination...". Same message I've seen since last Thursday. Yesterday I was told there's nothing wrong but I should call back next Monday if I haven't had anything happen by then. Is this really going to happen, or is it entirely possible that NVC decided to just administratively keep me held up for all eternity?? LOL...

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png

It's because of Canada... there's been too many imported Canucks lately and they're now limiting them. They don't want to whole country putting gravy on their french fries and saying 'eh' every other sentence :P

Good day eh.. OMG just so got a picture of Bob and Doug in my head...

Trent only orders gravy for his fries. He did it here at a McDonald's one day and the poor 16 year old girl looked at him like he was on drugs. I laughed and said McDonald's doesn't sell gravy for their fries dear, nor are there packs of vinegar sitting out.

(he has to have gravy or vinegar)

And ketchup in Canada tastes way different than it does here!

I made my husband bring a huge, and I mean huuuuge, bag filled with shoes back to the US with him last time he was here :D When we do move over hubby promised to buy me new stuff if I promised to throw away as much as possible lol. Now my son is another matter though, we've promised him he can bring with him whatever he wants, I want him to feel at home when we get there so I'm sure we gonna send over quite a few boxes :huh:

The thing I don't get is that you have 50 million pair of shoes but whenever it is time to go out you always wear those same ones all the time. If you loved shoes so much you wouldn't keep them in the darkness of some corner of the closet, you would have prefered them being displayed under bright lights in the shop windows instead!
