I want this so called number as well laughing.gif I'm trying to find a cheap flight for the first week of June, but prices are currently at $800+ headbonk.gif

NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Her husband probably knows someone that works for an airline. They can get cheap cheap cheap tickets for family and friends.

I used to have a friend that worked for continental and she could get me great deals on my US part of my trip. But for the flight directly into Canada I had to pay regular price for. It still dropped my price by a few hundred bucks!

After US Air and Continental merged she lost her job :(

I think so. i Pm you his number.who knows you can get cheap deal.but i always book last minute flight coz i find it cheaper(some people cancel their flight and thats why the airline sell it in cheap price.)

Flying standby is really cheap, but you have to be really flexible with your schedule.

I understand everyone is frustrated and tired of this waiting process. However it seems like you come here seeking validation of what you believe to be the right course of action and then when people advise you to the contrary you argue with them and you just come across as unwilling to accept the advise. Which is perfectly fine, this is just a forum and no one is bound to following any advice from anyone.

What you must understand though is what is at stake here. We are in a process where we are waiting to be re-united with our loved ones and our lives are on hold until then. And standing between us is an agency that has assumed that every case is to be treated with suspicion unless proven otherwise. There are people who will be handing out their judgement only based on their opinions without any accountability. Therefore you cannot just assume that since you are right and you believe that tehre is nothing really to prove that everything will be fine. You have to prepare an argument to prove that your relationship is bonafide, that there is not any fraud and the burden of proof is completly upon you to provide. I would not take anything lightly in this process and leave it so that a reasonable person will understand the situation and rule in my favor.

Similarly, no person in regular society will be able to help you much in this process unless they are familiar with the whole immigration process. since this is uncommon for the majority of people, you need to seek advice from people who have gone through this process themselves and are familiar with it or those who handle cases for people in this situation everyday and are familiar with it. You won't believe how many lawyers I have come in to contact with who claim to know the process and have given out wrong advice. Be careful in who you seek advice from as there is a lot at stake here. But the first premise here is that when it comes to immigration, we have to abandon the concept of innocent until proven guilty, we have to do the opposite and prove our innocence. With that mindset, I am sure each one of us will prepare to the best of our abilities and will leave no stone unturned and even if a process takes more effort but is safer in the eyes of the CO, it is really worth it.

Don't just follow the advice of those who follow shortcuts. That is like someone saying hey you can shoplift from this store because there are no cameras. See I did it andI got this and that. Who knows that when you try if you will be as fortunate as that person or not.

I really value the opinion of people here a lot as they have gone through the process and know it inside out. I would actually follow the advice Saylin gives me over what the agents at NVC or USCIS give me because she does in fact know more than even those who answer the phone.

No my husband dont know anyone in airline.He googles and try to find stand by or last minute ticket.I was talking about an travel agency.

I went in today and I had a free smoothie as part of my rewards. And now after todays meal I found out I get a free pastry next time. I would just like to tell everyone How much I love Panera Bread! Not only is their food delicious, but they have by far the best rewards program. I went in today and I had a free smoothie as part of my rewards. And now after todays meal I found out I get a free pastry next time. Everytime you go you are excited to find out hey have I won any free food today! What other food place does something like this?

Ooooh...Panera Bread...I've seen people's expense reports with receipts from there on them. They sound YUMMY! They have rewards?!?! :thumbs:

IV bill for my wife is now showing paid.

Still waiting for the IV invoice for my step-daughter, expecting it sometime today.

I will most likely be sending the DS-230 and supporting documentation for both cases on Friday or Saturday so hopefully we will have case complete sometime next week.

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

02/28/12 - Responded to RFE for both(received by CSC on 2/29)
