Nope. Poutine is essentially fries smothered in cheese and this most yummy gravy. Well, in the gravy there may be meat stock...not sure if that counts as meat? Some people have also seen it covered in pulled pork/butter chicken, etc.

It does count. We went out to eat the other day and they had run out of the only veggie option on the menu so not wanting a green salad I had French Onion soup and afterwards I realised that it probably was made with meat stock. (Oh well if I don't know in advance.) Life will be easier in Southern California.

It does count. We went out to eat the other day and they had run out of the only veggie option on the menu so not wanting a green salad I had French Onion soup and afterwards I realised that it probably was made with meat stock. (Oh well if I don't know in advance.) Life will be easier in Southern California.

If you want to experience poutine before you go to Montreal, if you eat cheese that is - you could make some fries, get some cheese curds, and make some gravy with veggie stock. Pour over fries and cheese and voila! Almost like the real thing only way healthier :) I'm sure there will be many vegetarian options in Montreal, too...

Congrats. I'm sure you are already aware that her actual interview date is the following day (4/18, the 4/17 date is document intake day).

Funny enough, no. I thought it was the other way around. That does cinch something I was thinking about. I imagine then there is no chance in the world of us having the Visa in hand by 23April for a flight back here out of HKG?

I'd like to thank Saylin for always being so readily available, professional and most of all patient in answering all my questions. I wouldn't have been able to get through NVC without her and all the other people that helped me along the way.

Called in today to confirm that W2's are a sufficient way to prove joint sponsor income if joint sponsor files jointly with spouse. They are. Pheew!

Then I asked about the COA form that my husband sent this Monday same time I posted AOS payment. My payment was accepted but no confirmation about the choice of agent form. She says "we get thousands and thousands of emails every day ma'am, you have to wait" :(

but on a brighter note, i am two employment letters away from my AOS being done and ready to be shipped monday or tuesday. will post my cover letter with all the fun stuff i include. happy st. patty's

LoL... I should take Sue deer hunting after she gets here, huh? She's looking forward to learning how to shoot, a while back I was looking online and saw this. I was about to jump and order it from her, historic Chinese rifle for a Chinese girl, but it was sold out. :(

Oh well, I already have a couple of Mosins which are just like that one. Just Russian instead of Chinese. :lol:

True, but it seems lately she hasn't been getting all of them. Most of the email traffic only came to my inbox and she only saw it when it showed up on the touchpad. Weird, no?

Are you kidding, right, you're hunting with the Mosin? no serious what do you use for deer hunting?

I have a 7mm 700 remington sps for hunting.

Buy her a .22 gun to start with as it has a soft kick, if you start teaching her with you 7.62 she'll hate it.

CASE COMPLETE!!! :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

I am so happy!! The operator had to remind me to take a deep breath hahaha. I'd like to thank Saylin for always being so readily available, professional and most of all patient in answering all my questions. I wouldn't have been able to get through NVC without her and all the other people that helped me along the way.

I am glad to say my journey with NVC is over. Now I will patiently wait for an interview.
