It's almost impossible to know. Some people breeze through in 60-90 days (there was an even a K1 that went through in 23 days recently) Others wait substantially more time. The process is very random, and the best thing to do is avoid an RFE. If your petition is at Vermont Service Center, you may receive adjudication more quickly based on current timelines.

Feli, Have you contacted a Congressman at all about your petition? It's terrible that you've been waiting so long.

1/13/12 - I-129F Petition Submitted to Dallas Lockbox

1/18/12 - Received at Vermont Service Center

1/20/12 - NOA1

1/24/12 - Touched

2/09/12 - Touched

8/02/12 - NOA2 (197 Days After Received at VSC)

8/14/12 - Received at NVC (Assigned Case Number)

8/16/12 - Departed from NVC

8/20/12 - Arrived in US Embassy Kiev

8/28/12 - Information Received from Embassy via mail

9/12/12 - Interview (Approved)

9/19/12 - Visa Received via Elin Ltd. (FedEx)

10/05/12 - POE

It's a request for evidence. But hopefully, since you had an attorney prepare the petition, they will have spotted any errors and checked that the application had enough evidence to support that a meeting took place within the past 2 years. That's all the Service Centers look for (and a background check on the petitioner).

Wow its long... Do you know why ??? and is there any way to make it faster ???

Welcome to the forum and to the immigration party!

Your questions have been asked or pondered numerous times on this and other forums. We are all dealing with the US Federal Department of Homeland Security, the third largest federal executive cabinet with over 200,000 employees. My thought is that the process is so protracted as that it is a huge government bureaucracy. Acquaint yourself with the many features and wealth of information available on this site, such as, the Visa FAQs, and be sure to :guides:. This information on this site is the culmination of the work of people just like yourself, involved in a Visa Journey.

Good luck.

The only way to quicken the process is for you to join the military and immediately be sent to the front lines.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
