Almost 7 months and still no NOA2

I filed for Cuba on VSC not so long ago. Got NOA1 02/02/2012, then got NOA2 02/23/2012 (21 days), so as you can see, I am very surprised you've had to wait 7 months.

Cuba has somewhat of a reputation around here for being very quick, except the interview part. That must seriously be upsetting - having to wait 7 months. Wouldn't be that bad, but no one understands that we Cubans have to wait another 5-6 months at the USINT (our "embassy") for the interview, I don't know what USCIS is doing with you guys.

I just want to wish you good luck and hope you get your NOA2 very soon. Like mentioned above, hang it there. :I

You usually have to wait for that which is worth waiting for.

I received my NOA1 on August 2, 2011 and am still waiting on my NOA2. I called February 9 and was told that I would receive a status update in the mail by February 24. But my mail has already arrived and still no news. I called today and was told that the system was down and that they could do nothing for me. So frustrating! I don't know what to do at this point.

Consider calling VSC again, if a sufficient response is not forthcoming, contact your elected representative for assistance.

Good luck.

Wow! You are very lucky. But yes, the wait time to get an interview date is what worries me too. I can't believe how long everything is taking.

On Monday I talked with someone from USCIS. I was told that a letter with a status update was mailed on February 23 (which is ridiculous because on Feb. 9, I would receive something in the mail by Feb. 24) but I have not yet received anything. I have since gotten in touch with my Congressman, so hopefully his office can make a status inquiry and speed the process up a little.
