may i ask what's NOA2? i'm just new here in this forum. an upon browsing your case. i can see that your a august filer. We have the same issue. My case was approved August 2011 and nothing yet is happening.

sdee11: Since you are an F2A filer - like me - you are now waiting for your priority date to become current - that is your NOA1 date.

You should keep an eye on the Department of State VIsa Bulletin - published each month which tells you what priority dates they are working on.

If you become a USC in the time you are waiting you can upgrade your case and no longer have to wait for that priority date to become current, since as a USC a visa is immediately available.

NOA2 April 14 2012
NVC receipt May 17 2012

Case upgrade request sent via email April 3 2013

Case upgraded by NVC from F2A to CR1 April 19 2013

Interview June 6th 2013 - APPROVED - case upgraded to IR1 at time of interview based on time married

Visa in hand June 10th 2013

IV fee paid using ELIS June 17th 2013

POE Houston July 15th 2013

GC arrived in mail Aug 12th 2013

SSN card arrived in mail Aug 19 2013 (1 week after applying)

Hey I see ur noa1 is the same date as me but i still didnt get my approval yet, did you do anything to get it or did u just wait and it came?

USCIS STAGE

8/22/2011: NOA1 EMAIL(never received a hardcopy nor txt)

3/23/2012: NOA2 EMAIL!!!! :D

3/28/2012: NOA2 HARDCOPY

NVC STAGE

4/09/2012: NVC Recieved

4/24/2012: Got NVC Case# and Invoice ID#

4/25/2012: Sent DS-3032 email and Paid AOS fee

4/26/2012: AOS fee showed "paid"

5/2/2012: Sent AOS Package and NVC accepted DS-3032 email

5/4/2012: Received and Paid IV fee

5/7/2012: Sent IV Package

5/14/2012: Case Complete at NVC!

6/6/2012: NVC Left!!

Beirut Lebanon Consulate

7/11/2012: Interview!!

Result: My husband is put in Administrative processing :(

8/17/2012: Embassy called my husband to bring the pasport for the visa!! :D

NOA1 is Notice of Acceptance

NOA2 is Notice of Approved meaning that you are done with USCIS so your case is transfered to NVC = National Visa Center is when you start the second part of the process! B-) From there is interview and visa!

my husband filed august 10,2011 and we received NOA1 august 15, 2011 until now we are still waiting for our NOA2 . .

My noa1 is july 12, stuck in background checks. Have u put in a service request?

04/09/15-Mailed ROC

04/10/2015-Package received

04/14/2015-Check cashed

06/02/2015-Called Service Center (still no NOA1) Service request found out wrong address on paperwork! :(

06/03/2015-Called to get address updated Ar11 online add change didnt work-got infopass for June 10th

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

Still can't hear a thing n I'm heading 8 mnths

Me neither. next week will be 7 months and it is so maddening that people are getting approvals in September. You start to wonder what the hell is going on? I know our app is being reviewed at this time, has been assigned an officer but that is it. Filed a service request and they said it should not take longer than 2 weeks for response. Any one else get a service request and how long did it take to get a response?

@jamaicaluv my husband called them bck today n surprisingly they said that he did a service request on march 13 n he should hear frm them soon so am waiting to c ow long this will take now..and thanxx fo asking that question cuz I wanna know too

When I called 2 weeks ago, they should have done the request but as fas as I know, they did not. I would think that if the congressman's office calls, they would make one depending on the time frame but not sure of that either. So, again, who knows??? Life is on hold, still.

06/28/12 - NOA2 announced on status check.

06/29/12 - NVC received case learned on 07/2/12.

07/16/12 - Receive and Sent DS-3032 via email.

07/17/12 - Mailed DS-3032 via mail, AOS bill received via email, paid online, Optin email sent.
