update: contacted the embassy last Friday (more like they contacted me, our embassy barely answers the phone!!) AND i talked with someone they said our status was still in process, so i asked them how long it would take and they said it may take and additional 3 to 4 business days, so the next question i asked was did we get approved (did we put all the right stuff in with the 221 g) the reply was yes you are approved. so hopefully this is our week . we are going to buy the ticket the same day the visa comes in.!!!

Congratulations: glad to hear everything went well!

Tomorrow's [edit: and by tomorrow I mean today] the big day! (Well, one of them!) I'm really having trouble winding down to get some sleep. So, I'm obsessively organizing our apartment. I've also made a "welcome home!" sign for the door. And, we had a running joke in Kenya that the trip was so expensive that once he arrived here, we'd be eating nothing but beans, so I set the table very nicely with silverware, nice glasses, napkins....and a nice can of beans on each plate. When we get back from the airport, I'll try to convince him that's dinner. :innocent:

Having a hard day today. We are waiting on Julian's Italian Police Certificate to arrive, should be ready in Milan on the 22nd, must then be translated before it's ready. Sent Julian the last of the stuff I needed to send him, which still hasn't arrived in the UK (sent it on the 10th). I'm just praying it's not lost in the mail. blink.gif I can't take any further delays. We are hoping to send everything to the Embassy by the 1st of December. Fingers crossed. I wish now I would have flown to see him and not waited for this approval that feels like it will never come. Here's hoping for New Years Eve. blush.gif

I'm feeling like I did when we were all waiting on NOA2, that constant stress sickness that you can't seem to get past. I sooooooooo thought we'd have no more of that.

I'm happy to see everyone else is moving along and know that we will be too pretty soon. It's just this last bit of waiting that's the toughest!

That bean thing is so funny! Happy for you!

Thanks, everyone! And he made it! It took almost 90 minutes after his flight landed for him to appear, so I was getting a little concerned. I only have one photo on my phone (took the rest with the actual camera, and haven't downloaded them yet), but...

1120121400.jpg

Also, he was very highly amused by the beans. It's so, so nice to have him here! (Of course, I'm at work right now, and he's at home, which doesn't seem right at all, but oh, well.

Congrats to erminaNaydin! And thinking of those who are still hanging in there waiting.
