Any February 2012 filers?

I just got off the phone with the DOS again. The girl told me that the consulate only assigns dates once a month and they have already done it this month for the October interviews. She said that it's possible to still get an October interview, but it'll probably be next month before they start assigning interviews again. If I understood her correctly, they might still try to fill days if there are cancellations.

I don't know if this was correct information or not, but I thought I'd pass it along. It's still not going to stop me from calling the DOS next week!

I so don't want to believe that. :-( The interviews I've seen given out lately have seemed to be for early October so I'm still cautiously optimistic that October isn't out of reach yet. *desperately clinging to evaporating shreds of hope*

I called the DOS today and the guy encouraged me to call again on Monday or Tuesday to see if they had set an interview yet which sounded to me like they are arranging interviews all the time...it's difficult to know what to believe!

Yeah, it seems like everyone gets a different story when you call the DOS. I'm really still hoping Rob has an October interview too. Our original wedding date was October 20th, and I was kinda hoping he'd be here so we can still do something special that day.

Only positive we have been able to draw from things taking so long is Jason building up more leave!!! We're now hoping to be interviewed etc in time to run off for our 'weddingmoon' the second 2 weeks in November and take advantage of 2 federal holidays meaning only 8 days leave!!

Today I called USCIS and requested to speak with Tier 2 since my service request has past 30 days with no response. It was absolutely useless as the rep was completely negative from the minute she got on the phone. She told me that you can not rely on the website touches because it does not register everything they do even though it says it has not been touched since feb 21 and to keep on waiting. I have scheduled an info pass appointment for October 4 to speak with an officer in person and maybe I will get more useful information there. I also have a congressional inquiry that is only 20 days of 45 days and I hope something comes through soon as I am at 215 days now.

Sorry to hear your problems, I am 10 days behind you. I talked to a supervisor on Tuesday this week and he agreed with me that I was over time and he would make a service request and I should hear in 10 days. What is the difference between service request and info pass? Should I call back and ask to speak with an officer? What has your congressman told you? Good luck and thanks for any info. Ron

Feb 21st filer here. Called Monday and put a service request in. It took ten calls to USICS, kept saying that the computers were down and when I called the person asked me why I was calling back. Told her I was told to keep calling until I found someone with a working computer. She took my info and submitted the service request. She stated that there systems had been up all day. Go figure........

All what I know is my little one wants me to come pick up her and mommy so she can come home with daddy.....

It's administrative/additional processing. If you're still at the NVC, this could happen. I believe Joy went through this too. It shouldn't add too much time. AP is bad if it happens after your fiancé's interview.

Yeah, it's normal. If it adds any time at all, it might just be a few days. The NVC doesn't like to hold onto applications.
