So I have some news.....

WE ARE APPPPPROVEEEEEEDDDDD TODAY!!!! welll yesterday, they sent the email today though!!! FINALLY AFTER GETTING A RFE AND EVERYTHING!!! I hope everyone gets approved this week so we can talk about NVC together!!!!!

YESSS SO HAPPY THANKS EVERYONE FOR STAYING WITH US!!!

Yaay congrats :) love hearing the good news...wishing everyone still waiting speedy approval so we can all move to the next stage ...

who started the process around that date?

They are working on early February. You should hear something within the next two weeks. Hang in there - the wait is almost over :thumbs:

Thanks ;) It was indeed :yes: I was so right when I had told my mom that I had to get me a new phone (it is my mean of communication with my fiance and immigration. I don't regret buying it ASAP :)

btw I meant to ask you a question.I noted that it took a couple of weeks for NVC to get your papers from USCIS. Was it a mistake on their part or is it their processing times nowadays (instead of the week timeframe that I've previously heard of)?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Last year when we received an RFE it also had an alien number and I was told that that would have been my alien number later in the process IF we had been approved. We were denied so it was dead in the water.

Why were you denied if you don't mind me asking?

Now I'm getting worried about my RFE too :(

In our excitement to file we didn't realize that I was 5 days short of the 31 day waiting periodAT THE TIME OF FILING. It didn't matter that it took over 5 months to even get to the petition. Oh well we are getting close now......
