Hi Everyone,

My fiancee got her interview letter. It says the Feb. 28th. Is that the interview date or a so-called "document intake" date that I've read about on the websites and the real interview date is the 29th. My attorney says interview is on the 28th, whatever the letter says. Who is right?

Also my attorney says my fiancee will only need the Affidavit of Support from me that she will take with her to her interview and evidence that I went to visit my fiancee recently to propose, which were not in original submitted Application papers. Just those two items. What do you guys think? I am getting nervous.

Who is right please?

wilfred

Note: I see others have written about this "document intake day" so I'll read them too. Probably the answers are there.

Interview is on the date that it says on the letter, for India the document intake date is before the actual interview, some countries do not have these, check your local embassy.

Yes I will second your attorney she needs to have originals during interview if you submitted photo copies.

28th is document intake day, next business day is interview day.

re: documents to bring - no, he's not right. There are other things to bring, besides what he's told you.

Did you review the OF-169 downloadable from the GUZ IV forms page website , or no?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Darnell is correct, review on your own all the documents you need, bring all originals if you submitted copies. Take you who file you submitted (which you have organized to find everything if asked). Bring copies of any documents they may need or ask for, sorry my wife is not here and in China without INTERNET to give you further advice.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Fire you lawyer....everybody join in.....fire your lawyer......cause he isn't up to date.......yeah! Darnell is spot on, they changed the process and you need to make sure that she takes her "kitchen sink" just in case. I have a HUGE stack of papers covering everything my wife (then fiancee) needed but was not asked for. The VO wanted to see a pic of me with her parents, asked a few questions and then sent her on her way. Good luck!:thumbs:

Do you have 3 years of tax returns? Do have every page of your passport copied and sent to her? What about work ID'S? Pay check stubs? ALl your travel documents photos? These are just a few of things she should have.

Hi Everyone,

THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR ALL YOUR HELP CAUSE MY FIANCEE PASSED HER INTERVIEW!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEE.

We practiced with questions day after day and before her interview in the morning. No problems. I had some issues about support because my tax returns shows no income so I had to show that I had a lot of assets to support her. The VO didn't even go there cause of the amount of proof of assets, I guess. My fiancee did a lot of talking and offering of pictures , my visa , etc. She did have her interview in Chinese but did talk some English with the VO. If anyone wants my fiancee to talk to their fiancee about what she went through, please let me know. Also, I can give you a contact here in Guangzhou who can help your fiancee with everything - including her interview. She was a great help to my fiancee.

Thanks again to all of you. If you have any questions , please feel free to write to us.

A happy life to all the couples here.

Thanks so much, Ryan and Darnell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Now a new page in our journey begins - living together in Hawaii. I think the easy part has just finished. Now the harder part of being married and adjusting with each other , keeping each other happy , knowing what to do and what not to do, etc is needed to be learned by both of us. Now, if we have difficulties, we cannot blame the VISA people, he,he,he. I know we can do it even though I don't think it will be easy at first. But as long as we love each other and with the help of our friends and our church , I believe we can overcome our difficulties and have a happy life togther. I wish both of you and all the others here the happy life I will be working hard each day to have. Take care.

wilfred
