I134 supporting evidence of income

So I'm reading the instructions for this form, and it says:

"Evidence should consist of any of the documents listed below that apply to your situation."

Then it lists bank statements for the past year and all that, statements from my employer stating my salary and employment status, then it says IF I am self employed, copy of last income tax return. Does this mean I don't need that since I'm not self employed?

Another thing while I have this post, I read that for the interview he needs the originals of all documents submitted in the K1 packet we sent off originally. Does this mean all ticket stubs/itineraries and my original birth certificate? I'm going to mail him everything all at once so I'm wondering if I need to mail him my birth certificate too. Thanks!

You need to check the requirements for the embassy/consulate you are filing for. The list of evidence in the I-134 instructions is usually incomplete. Most often, you will have to supply either the most recent transcript, or tax return will all attachments, along with recent pay stubs, w-2's if you haven't filed for the current year, and an employer letter, if possible. Some employers will not give an employment letter, as it could be considered an employment contract, so you have to prove the income by use of the pay stubs and tax filings.

I can't speak to embassy specifics for Australia, but I would suggest sending any supporting evidence you can get your hands on. I would ALWAYS send the tax return because it is pretty good evidence of your income for the year(s). If you can reasonably get something send it. The best possible scenario in an interview is to be able to hand the interviewer everything they ask for. Bad scenario is not to be able to give them evidence they require. If it's anywhere in the list and you can get it, send it.

I always tell myself "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."

My two cents...

Tax returns with corresponding W2s or tax transcripts are considered very good evidence, so I suggest you send him those. Pay stubs for the three recent pay periods are also good to bring in, as well as an employment letter.

Brandy , Ben will need a letter from your employer stating your wage , full time or part time and how long you have worked there. He will need a letter from your bank stating branch and when account opened and 6 statements. He wont need tax returns for Sydney from you but if you want to send him a few copies by all means. He wot need all the K1 packet you sent in as they will have all that in front of them sent over from here in the USA. He wont need your BC at all as they have copies of that but if you want to send him a cert copy just in case but they have all that info from the 129f there in Sydney.

If he wants to take some extra evidence of your relationship yeah but from what I have seen on here with the recent people they are never asked for it .

He just needs to collect all the papers he needs from packet 3 when he gets it.

Needs to have his medical and get that police report and start collecting all the other papers so he is ready to go when he gets packet 3.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month
