Yes you will

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You will need an NBI clearance from Philippines. You won't have to return home to get it.

Here are the DOS website directions:

Applicants residing outside the Philippines should send requests for certificates together with money orders or bank drafts for the fees and postage to IRD-Mailed Clearance Section, National Bureau of Investigation, Taft Avenue, Metro Manila, Philippines. Philippine Embassies abroad can assist Filipinos in obtaining NBI police clearances. The NBI has its own fingerprint charts and personal data forms that it will send to the requesting applicant for execution. Most applicants abroad find it more expeditious to have a relative or friend in the Philippines assist them in obtaining their certificates from the NBI. In that instance, a letter of authorization is required. The applicant may also submit a copy ("personal copy") of a prior NBI clearance to facilitate the processing of a new clearance.

I would call the Philippine embassy in London to confirm the exact procedure. They will probably be able to give you the fingerprint card needed to get the NBI. Personally, if you can send everything to a relative and have them go to NBI for you, I would do that. Just make sure to include a letter of authorization when you send them all your docs.
