as long as you have your permanent resident card your free to traval internationaly,be sure that you purchase the tickets to the same name thats on the passport, it must match, you use your green card when returning to the united states at the poe.

Yes, when you enter the US you will trigger your Permanent Resident status which gives you the right to work and travel.

It is true you will need to "remove conditions" in two years, but your rights are the same as any LPR. The only difference is what you do when your card expires.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

You betcha. We activated our CR-1 on Saturday and then departed/re-entered USA the very next day using temporary CR-1 in the passport. No fuss.

Done: I-130/CR-1, I-751/ROC

Done: I-327
