I asked the USCIS representative ... for all who are waiting for the green card past regular processing times, please call USCIS toll free number 1-800-375-5283 and open a ticket addressing to your service center. that might help speed up the process.

Congrats CallofDuty! And thanks for the tip. I see you sent your package on 3/19. When exactly did you call USCIS?

I said i was worried because i was living along a border that i had to cross the immigrant checkpoint every time i needed to go north, which i tried not to. I understand that the extension letter is a good proof of my legal status, but you know i would be more confident with the card. The lady said i have a year to worry about it, why did i worry too much, and "PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE OUR JOB MORE DIFFICULT" :( I did not mean to make her job difficult, i only called once since i filed that form. She said i could go to make an infopass if i don;t get the card right at the end of my year and i could find more info on thier website. Please don't hesitate to call back if you have any question' she said at the end! I decided i will not call anymore. I will wait to see when i will be lucky to get approved!

Congrats CallofDuty! And thanks for the tip. I see you sent your package on 3/19. When exactly did you call USCIS?

I called them after september 19th (one day after completing 6 months, thats CSC Average processing period). then with the help of USCIS representative raised a ticket addressed to USCIS. that was it. as per my past experience, calling them before in time will not speed up the processing time. hope i answered your question.

I need some advise as I'm in the process of closing my home loan and my green card is expired,therefore my lender needs a current green card copy.

I never received my NOA till today and when I called USCIS they told me that I need to visit their office and the option is to stamp my passport but they will take my expired green card.

I know some of my friends here have got their passports stamped,can you please advise if they did take your expired green card??

I filed on the 29th of March and should I wait till the last minute before closing my loan?

Yeah, I know don't what happened. The petitioner's name wasn't even close to my wife's name! Oh well...she has her extension letter. We'll wait for USCIS to straighten this out. :lol:
