Okay me and my husband got married back in sept on my first visit to nigeria which you guys already know....fastforward so we went on our honwymoon to Duiba in jan for 7 days....blah blah..now im heading back to nigeria in april for a week then again for the interview which we hope is sometime in june or july...now my problem is i feel like we should cut one of these trips and i just come for the interview..he thinks that if we spend more time together and i visit more it would make our case a wholeeee lot better..i know i have read profiles where people only have seen each other once and thats when they were married..im baffled and dont know what we should do? making the trips are fine and no problem finacially, i just dont know if seeing each other so often makes the case more bonafide than the next case???? does this really help? or are we wasting our time and having all other documentation should be fine? my husbnd says he think that since we got married on first visit that CO will already think negative on our relstionship...i honestly think both of us need to have a little more faith and we will be fine!

oh and another question -on my G3325 page i made a mistake and said i was born in dallas,Nigeria(suppose to be dallas,tx)? i submitted another form to USCIS with the correct information..will this delay my petition? i have heard since i did not make mistakes on the actual petiton that its not a big deal considering they have my birth certificate and pass port pages!

if visiting your husband is no problem financially, WHY DO YOU NOT WANT TO GO AND VISIT HIM??? so you think it´s a waste of time visiting your husband? why again are you filing a petition for him?

sorry, but I really don´t understand you, I´d be happy to see my husband as much as possible and you are trying to avoid seeing him!?

Nigeria is a high fraud consulate. If you are able to visit more often it is most definitely in your better interests to do so.

Honestly, I not sure either. I've only seen my husband once before the interview and he got through it. But as the OP says Nigeria is a fraud country and may be helpful on your part to see your SO as many times as YOU WANT TO or need be.

well.. do as you feel.. on the hand, i think you do have to be careful not too over-visit.. somewhat cuz they might think you are trying to make things up... and i think after you have seen him in April, you necessary shldnt have to be there for interview.. they won't let you in anyways.. and he shld be able to handle that himself... but of course when possible, visits are usually positive.. but don't get pressured by VJ pple.. do ur mind and what you can stand behind..

Well, not to go elsewhere on this thread but I have been to Jamaica approximately 22 times in 2 years. It's less than a 3 hour flight from me (cost/intl. taxes keep me from going more). I would've moved there but I have 2 children and can't go there with them. We have been lucky in this regard but should I worry?

Technically, we have not been able to read the minds of those IO. Yes your visit is important but they are secondary. If you visit hundred times and your hubby couldn't control himself during the interview...wow they will interpret it to mean another thing but that might be nervousness. My only advice is...maybe use the energy and time of visiting to build confidence in your spouse to face the IO. It is human to mess things up when we are not confidence and pressure can work against us. I know that i know how to drive but coming to the USA on my visit DMV drive test. When the examiner started with me...i lost every confident...i just made the commonest mistake not yielding...and that cost me that....so what i am saying is...you got to study your life with your hubby..i learnt everything about wife...from the date she was born...where...school..everything with date....i don't have to think for the answer...i just give them when she (IO)asked them. So they are professional and psychologist and they have been seeing people who are coming every day for the Fiance/spouse visa. Yes...Nigeria is seen as a fraud consulate...but they do not base that on the interview...it only count from the action of the one being interview....

Take all the papers...go through the VJ interview questions and study it...and if you don't have any red flag..you are good to go...i may only advice you...maybe to save the travel to the day of interview....Just the interview knowing that you are outside waiting for the result...matters...because they are humans.

But its so true. I have been there twice to visit my husband and the second time I was there I was not allowed to leave the compound alone, and if i went to the store either an in-law or an family friend had to be with me cos they said my look was too obvious. So maybe there not being mean just being honest.
