My fiancee is so worried about when she gets to the interview that she might be dumbfounded when the consulate asks her questions about me and my family.

I don't exactly have a happy family so I try not to bring it up in conversation. So, she rarely knows anything about my family, but at last she still needs to know about them.

What are some questions or maybe someone can redirect me to a very good website that shows questions that would be asked at the interview?

Question can very if she rarely knows anything about your family , time to have a chat. 'Question will be ask about your family'! Such as names how many siblings and so on.

Even I am oblivious to that question "How many siblings do you have?"

because it seems my dad keeps finding a new one each year. LOL

I told her to keep them short and sweet, to the point and never lie.

That is one thing she was saying to me, what if i say this and what if i say that? I was like you don't need o sugar coat it, you just need to be honest.

They look for those work arounds and become suspicious.

Here's what my fiancee was asked:

Who is the petitioner?

How did you meet?

When did you first meet?

When did you meet in person?

When was the last time you saw him?

And then the interviewer said she was approved and she looked at our pictures.

Hope that helps.

There should be many examples of embassy questions here on VJ, just use the search function. We went through USEM in 2009 and here are what questions they asked my wife.

While he was sorting through the paperwork, he started by asking questions about HER, where she was from (province and town) and that he was happy being assigned to USEM. My wife said the officer was very pleasant.

My mothers name.

How many brothers/sisters do I have. The officer did not ask her to name them.

Where I live (full street address)

Where and when did we first meet in person.

What I do for a living. (be specific)

What is my FULL name and birthday.

Has he any kids? previous marriages?

That was it. 5-6 minutes is all.

Can I be a little negative here to wake you up! First off, most likely the interview will be easy from what everyone says but not in all cases. I feel that if they ask your fiancee a few questions and she doesn't know them, she's going to get 5 more... and then another 5 or 10 until.

If you've got a dysfunctional family then just answer that when they ask about your siblings or family but have an answer for everything. I am so proud of my fiancee because I have loaded her up with information and she has soaked up everything. She knows my address, the color of my truck, my ex wifes name, everything about my past you can imagine, my title at work, what I actually do at work, degree, the college I went to, my parents names (they are deceased). I suggest you go through this site and dig up all the questions on here and quiz her on them if you are seriously interested in marrying this woman. Don't take this lightly. Failing the interview can set you back a good six to eight months or more.

The burden is on her to prove that you are in a bonified relationship and if she doesn't know that much about you, then that is not a good start.

Every applicant's case is different and so are the interviews. Mine was like a walk in the park I dont know if I just got lucky because the applicant before me was grilled for like 10 minutes. The consul asked me these questions:

How did you meet?

Where does he work?

How many times did he visit you ?

She looked at our pictures, congratulated me and told me that my visa is approved. It was very fast , about 3 minutes.

Goodluck!
