Hello,

I received my NAO1 on the 13th of October, and I have been counting the days hoping NAO2 will come soon, however, tonight I received a text message and email that said to check my status online, and when I did, it said that there is a request for evidence....and that a letter was sent to me on the 7th of Feb (haven't received anything yet) two questions:

1. What do they usually need? (I have sent them everything they asked for when I initially filled the application)

2. How much has this set my case back??? Is there any set back? Do they just put me back in line and have to wait a few months again to get processed? I hope not :((((

Thanks and I really would appreciate your help!

By the way it is getting processed at VSC

1, no one can tell you " what they usually need " because its different for each person. You have to wait until you get the notice in the mail.

2. it sets the case back by a couple of weeks to a month while they wait for you to send the stuff back and then start working on your case again usually. They Generally ask for 60 days after you return the RFE but lots of cases get approvals very soon after they send the required items back to USCIS.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You are going to have to see the text of the RFE to see what they want.

How much of a delay depends on the content of the RFE and the speed that you are able to satisfy their request.

While you are waiting :time: .

Good luck.

Just watching timelines here, a lot of NOA2s seem to be issues about 10-14 days after the petitioner sends the response back. So it seems you might have lost 3 weeks or so, plus however long it takes you to gather the additional evidence.

I'm anticipating that I may get an RFE, so I've added a month to my mental calendar for the process. From the notes here, there can be a broad variety of evidence they may be looking for. It could cover pretty much any of the evidence that they asked for in the original petition.
