i noticed that too this morning. Use this link http://london.usembassy.gov/document_checklist.html

thanks Nich-Nick :) I have to say I don't like that one as much...why would they take that section away or redesign it and not include it? maybe the link is broken or something..just seems odd.

You can phone. I was the beneficiary and I was able to phone. I used Skype to make cheap calls to DOS several times. They are open for phone calls from 8:30am until 5pm EST.

Was you lucky today with the package?? I hope so.

I finally booked my medical :) feel a little .

I love this woman from the congressman's office. I told her that by tomorrow, they would have the medical results with the updated police cert and all the packet 3 documents since last monday so they can assign an interview as of tomorrow or Monday morning at the latest. She asked us to email her all the forms we sent and she's going to email them again on Monday and also go after DOS here. :)

Ready

Immigrant Visa Case Number: LND********** ** LND Case Creation Date: 19-Jul-2013 Status Updated Date: 31-Jul-2013

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:
So is it safe to say that my Fiance can start making the appointment for the medical? smile.png He is filling out the forms at this point.
I also had a question about the Poverty Guide Line Chart
When my brother the co-sponsor is looking at it; it's his Wife and two kids including himself so he would look at number in household 4 or 5 including my Fiance? Is a letter from the bank stating how long he has had an account and the average amount he has in his savings is enough instead of bank statements?
I really appreciate the reply and help.
Thank you fellow VJ's

if your police certificate comes back showing "no live trace" or it is anything other than spotless then there are possibly 2 things that you need to do...

1) obtain a "subject access request". this will show what your police certificate doesnt and amongst other things, court convictions, police cautions / warnings, reprimands and Penalty Notice for Disorder. this is available through your local police force so check on their website for details on how to apply. it costs £10 and takes up to 40 days so if you need it then order it early. this can be very useful for finding out dates if they are unknown.

2) if you appeared in court then you might also need to obtain a "memorandum of conviction". this is the court report and is available from the clerk of the court you attended. im not sure of cost but i believe it can take up to 60 days to obtain, so again... if you need it then order it early.

My Fiance's Police Certificate said "no trace" is that on the clear as far as him having to do all the other steps?

That means all clear and he does't need anything else. :)

If it says "No live trace", then that's when you need to do more.

I'm confused now here on this link it says this http://london.usembassy.gov/document_checklist.html

Police Certificates for the United Kingdom: A visa applicant who has resided in the United Kingdom for 6 months or more since the age of 16, is required to obtain a police certificate from the ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO). Further information is available from their website atwww.acro.police.uk. This police certificate will serve to advise the U.S. Embassy, London whether or not any criminal conviction is held against him/her. The police certificate will be sent to the applicant's address provided at the time of application. Please note that the Immigrant Visa Unit considers the police certificate valid for 12 months from the date of issuance, not six months as stated on the certificate. If the police certifiate states "No Trace" or "No Live Trace", please be prepared to discuss your arrests/cautions/convictions with the consular officer on the day of the interview.

Yes it does say that but it is wrong. I had 'no trace' as did most of the people here and there is nothing to discuss with the Embassy!

its not actually wrong, if you have something from a way back then you should tell them, it may not show on the police cert. if you have nothing and it says no trace then you are fine and need do nothing else

Our case was last touched 7/29 and DOS said they sent out Packet 3 and my fiance hasn't received it yet either...hoping it comes tomorrow. He's already had his medical and posted all the Packet 3 forms..I really hope they are not lost. The Embassy is supposed to send over his results today so hopefully his case will show that it's been touched again...

hopefully we all hear something soon. :)
