Guys,

Just as an update now, as of Sunday 1st Sept, the new DS-260 will replace DS-230 Parts I & II and DS-2001. Info on the embassy website:

http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

Link to DS-260:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5248.html

Hi all,

I received my letter from the London embassy today saying that they had received our K-1 petition and so I now need to fill out all the forms etc...so I go on to the link to check i had filled out all the forms etc....then I see the notice regarding the DS-260 form starting from the 1st Sept..........

Now by the time i get the forms in the post...It'll be after the 1st September....do you think I can still send off my DS-230 part one etc that I have spent loads of time filling out.....or do I wait and go through filling all the new DS-260 form out?

My fiance is worried they will reject the DS-230 form if I send that...........

One thing after another.....

Thanks for reading!

Though after looking at the ds-260 I don't have the NVC Invoice ID Number to get through the first step, so to this i would assume that until your letter tells you your NVC Invoice ID Number. Keep filling out the ds -230 etc.

Well thats what I'm doing at least, will report back with my findings

I doubt they will reject anything that happens in the transition. And as I posted earlier this is geared toward spouse visas processed at NVC. Their forms are DS-230, part 1 and 2 and the spouse version of the DS-2001. What about the other three fiance's fill out. They are not part of this electronic form. And K1s are not "processed" at NVC. They currently do not get an Invoice number. That is spouse visa stuff where you remain at NVC a couple of months.

And The DOS website currently says the form DS-260 is used only if--

The petition was approved in the U.S. and the immigrant case is being processed by the National Visa Center (NVC); and

Applications are:

-Family based (Form I-130 petition); or

-Employment based (Form I-140 petition); or

-For certain special immigrants (Form I-360 petition); or

-For an immigrant entrepreneur (Form I-526 petition);

So where in that list does it say form I-129F petition is eligible?

Somebody is going to have to wait on their letter of instruction and see if London tells them to use DS-260 or of they change the online instructions on Monday. Then it will be a matter of trying it to see what happens. It requires a log in, so until somebody goes through it, there is a mystery. The online payment thing is still difficult for people. They start wrong and can't recover. Then they can't contact the embassy to find out what to do. Unfortunate time you guys have arrived at the embassy part. Good luck!

Embassy is closed on Monday due to the Labor Day weekend.. :P

But anyway, yeah - just like they sort-of had arrangements for those people who paid the MRV fee over the phone during the transition to the online system, there won't be an issue with accepting paper forms for a short while at the very least during this transition. Then hopefully one of the other filers (like myself whenever I get my bloody NOA2) will be able to see whether we have to start using DS-260 in conjunction with some of the other paper forms that will still exist.

It probably will take time to get it all going Ryan. meanwhile I have already sent my standard forms. Till they write and tell me different. But it's good to be aware of it any way. Noa2 will soon one Ryan.

I have to agree with you that it was time consuming filling out those forms. I hope we are still good with the old ones. I posted mine yesterday even though I have not had packet 3 in the post yet. Hoping it will arrive with this mornings post.

Is anyone putting for London:

Number 11. on I-134 Following the example form and checking neither box and putting 'N/A (K1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE)'

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

Is this being approved for London or we have to be more specific and put intend or don't intend?

Thank's VJ's :)

Thanks, Yeah bit nervous but more excitement than worry I think. We went through all the documents and forms yesterday on Skype so I'm feeling prepared. Getting the half 6 train down to London in the morning. Really can't wait to get it all over with. We haven't seen each other since May which seems like an absolute age ago and we started this whole process in November, so will be very glad it's all over with :) (this stage of it anyway!)

MAY! blimy!!

Where are you getting the train from? I think what im most nervous about is navigating my way round the tube. Ive been there tons of times but you always worry that something will go wrong and you'll get lost. Ive written myself out maps, and drawn directions etc. but still scared. Ill be getting the train from Farnborough, Hampshire. Only an hour or so train ride. You going to Paddington or Victoria?
