herzlichen glueckwunsch, susanne! mensch, bei dir laeuft ja alles rund momentan! super!

bei mir hat sich der status online in dem uscis system immer noch nicht geaendert. so langsam nervt mich das richtig! vielleicht ruf ich da heute mal an. mal sehen, ob die da was dazu sagen koennen ...

der muehe-film laeuft doch hier im kino! kann man sich also ohne probleme derzeit in den usa anschauen!

bin schon sehr gespannt auf die ersten baby-fotos!

They said I should have it in 7 days! So now we wait.....again!

01/29/09 - extension letter received!

05/15/09 - Removal of conditions approved :) ..waiting for actual card now :)

06/01/09 - Card in the mail!

Oh sorry, timeline lesen hilft.

Also solange du deinen interviewtermin hast und den hast du ja schriftlich, wuerde ich mir keine sorgen ueber das onlinedings machen. Die werden wahrschienlich eh nichts bearbeiten solange du noch kein interview gehabt hast. Ich denke die haben schon alles fertig und warten jetzt nur noch auf interview.

Ich reiche vorm Ende der Woche noch mein Writing Sample ein und dann hoffe ich, dass ich zum Vorstellungsgespraech eingeladen werde.

Ich hab schon mal nachgeschaut. Bei uns kommt der Film nicht im Kino. :(

@steffi oh berlin wie schoen. Da gibts ein DDR Museum. Das is voll cool. Ganz klein aber schoen. Brendon fand das total interessant. Die haben sogar nen trabi wo man sich reinsetzen kann :D

@Tomte hmm, ich befuerchte die werden weder deine ead noch deine AP bewilligen, sondern warten bis du dein interview hastund dir dann gleich diegreencard ausstellen. Aber vielleicht hast du glueck und die bewilligen wenigstens noch deine AP. Das is echt soviel geld was man ausgibt und dann machen die einfachnix dran!!!

susanne, herzlichen glueckwunsch zum Job. das ging ja jetzt echt schnell. hoffentlich macht es dir auch spass.

anja, ich druecke dir auch die daumen, dass siedichzum gespraech einladen. hast den denn jetzt das mit greencard instruction gemacht? oder hast du doch ein anderes thema gewaehlt?

Ich bin grad von meinem medical zurueck.Nach 2 enttaeuschenden anrufen bei aertzen (die nur das gesamte medical machen), war schon mein 3. Anruf ein gluecksgriff. habe nur $25 fur mein vaccination suplement bezahlt. Danke fuer euren rat, dass ich mehr rumtelefonieren soll.

heute abend gehts noch mal zum blumenladen, um meinen brautstrauss auszusuchen. und am sa sehe ich dann endlich mal das hotel, wo unsere feier stattfindet. wir gehen nochmal alle details durch und kriegen ne kostprobe von unserem dinner (yeahhh, umsonst essen!).

Ahh, jetzt ist Maerz, das heisst, ich heirate diesen Monat (zwar erst am 30.). Jetzt werd ich doch schon langsam aufgeregt, vor allem weil es noch so viel zu erledigen gibt.

ach, unsere evi hat jetzt ein baby, bin so gespannt auf die ersten bilder und was sie erzaehlt. naja, viel zeit wird sie dann fuer uns nicht mehr haben...

Steffi, gut dass du einen guenstigen Arzt gefunden hast. Mir hat der beim Interview gesagt, dass ich das gar nicht haette machen brauchen, und dass die deutsche Kopie vom Vaccination supplement ausreichte. Ich hatte das fuers AOS naemlich nicht gemacht, aber bin dann doch vorsichtshalber noch kurz vorm Interview zum Arzt. Und ich weiss, haette ich es nicht dabei gehabt, dann haette er es bestimmt gewollt. :yes:

Was muesst ihr denn noch alles erledigen?

Ja, hab Anweisungen zum Visum und zur Greencard geschrieben. Muss noch 3 Seiten mit Anweisungen uebersetzen. Wollte ja erst alles einbeziehen, ob K-1, K3 oder diese CR1 und DCF bis hin zur Green Card. Hab dann mit K1 angefangen und gemerkt, dass es zu viel wird. Hab somit nun einen Guide fuers K1 geschrieben bis hin zu Removal of Conditions. Dauert nur alles laenger, als ich wollte. Hab manchmal auch so meine ups und downs, weil ich mich manchmal frage, ob ich das wirklich kann. Und dann denke ich wieder, wenn ich mich mit nem Ami vergleiche, dann ist meine deutsche Grammatik bestimmt besser, und dann hab ich wieder Vorteile.

Also, alles nicht so einfach. Aber Susannes Story gibt mir Hoffnung.

Zu meinem Guide: Ich hab mich an Visajourney gehalten und teilweise etwas von den Anweisungen auf den einzelnen Formularen einbezogen. So viel neues ist dort nicht drin. Ich hab es nur ausfuehrlicher geschrieben, so mit 1., 2.,... Und dann auch vollstaendige Saetze in "Anweisungsform" - also immer Imperativ nach der Art "Fertigen Sie an, Reichen Sie ein,..." Ich wuerde auch behaupten, dass der Guide hier bei Visajourney schon ganz genau ist. Ich kann es zur Probe, wenn es fertig ist, ja mal einem schicken, und warte dann auf Feedback. WEnn es gut ist, werd ich es reinstellen. (Ich hab ausserdem mit dem K-1-Visum keine eigene Erfahrung sammeln koennen.)

Die Stelle auf die ich mich beworben hab ist bilingual Technical writer in einer Software Firma. Jobbeschreibung war in der Art: Hilfsprogramme, Produktbeschreibung und Marketingmaterial ins Deutsche uebersetzen. Erfahrung als Technicher Writer war nicht vorausgesetzt und auch nicht, dass man Erfahrung im Uebersetzen hat.

Nachdem ich mich online beworben hab, hab ich dann 2 Wochen spaeter die Email bekommen, dass ich ein Writing Sample einreichen muss. "Ein befriedigendes Writing Sample ist Voraussetzung zum Interview eingeladen zu werden." Beim Technischen Schreiben kommt es darauf an, dass neben dem Inhalt das ganze Format stimmt.

Hab also Inhaltsverzeichnis, unterschiedliche Kapitel und in der Kopfzeile Kapitelname....

Ich weiss ja nicht worauf es denen so ankommt. Ob mein Englisch perfekt sein muss, was es nicht ist. Ob ich gut uebersetzen kann? Oder ob ich gut mit Word umgehen kann? Und was ich so dazulernen kann. Keine Ahnung.

Sorry, ich blabber hier so vor mich hin.

Ums kurz zu fassen. Fuehle mich wie kurz vor der Abgabe meiner Diplomarbeit: nicht zufrieden. Und dann sag ich mir, wart's doch erst mal ab.

ich glaube an dich!!!! Ich drueck dir ganz feste die daumen, dass sie dich einladen. Ich hab mich vor meiner dipomarbeitsabgabe auch lausig gefuehlt.....aber siehs mal so.........sogar wenn sie dich nicht einladen, es ist 'nur" fuer nen job und es haengt nicht soviel dran wie bei ner diplomarbeit!

Aber ich drueck dir die daumen und vielleicht klappt es ja bei dir genauso schnell wie bei mir!!!!! :yes:
