Hi, we cannot send the K1 1-129f petition yet because I need to send my fiance some money for the initial $340.00 check. i have tried to do this through my bank Natwest and the money has ret to reach her despite sending it 20 days ago and its not back in my account. Have spoken to my bank and they said there still processing but it was meant to take 5 days. all details were correct.

Is there a faster way to send money to a US bank from a UK on. Will US banks accept UK checks?

You can also send money via Western Union or MoneyGram as well and she would be able collect the money here in a matter of minutes after you do the transfer. You can find agents around you on their websites and it does cost less than bank wire transfers.

use the xoom global money transfer, check this site xoom.com sign up and send money to ur family and friends abroad. theres a lot of choice how the recepient may receive the money.

xoom.com, looks great, but you don't seem to be able to transfer money to america. Am I missing something on this?

Paypal is another option, but can prove to be expensive the more you transfer...

Smart Currency have been excellent for me so far. Very good rates, no commission and you pay to their UK bank so no additional charges there. Also as soon as they receive the funds from you they process a same day transfer to the US account. http://www.smartcurrencyexchange.com/

In response to your question about checks, yes. I wrote my husband a UK check a couple of times, he took it to his US bank and they deposited it using whatever exchange rate they used that day.

I used xe.com two or three times with success in the past. Very quick and easy to use. :) If you search this forum, I know this issue comes up often and you should find other feedback if you haven't already found a way to transfer money.
