 hello my dear VJS.as much as am almost zoombied cos of too much infomation i have to take in,and pass over to my fiance who lives in massachussettes, over the weekend i still need to find out a few more things and hope u guys will still coperate and help me out.Ok so we filled out the required forms and he put everything in the packet.hopefully he ships it in today at midday.what i want to know is how do u pack everything in the packet, hes going to show me the packet via skype at midday which will be 8 pm ghana time but 3 pm us time, sorry to sound like some freak, but my fiance really doesnt know anything about filling ,i learnt everything we had to get and had to know right here on vj.thanks to all u great people.esp zeebee.SHES been really marvelous and Midge mij.The waiting period hasnt began but i must say that its been very hard for me and for all other VJs going tru the waiting period.it was my dream for us to live here in Ghana but sincd he cant find his way around here i guess i have to make the big move..all i want to know is how to put every thing in the package.we have 5 photos from his trip together, his affidavit of support, his passport photocopy (where his ghana visa was stumped) emails, all other forms required,my passport pictures.but we dont have phone records.wanted to know if our skype call records could replace that.someone suggested skype historian which was of great help.however when i tried saving our phone records on skype didnt appear.so does it mean i have to send our phone records from gh to him.this afternoon? cos i do have that.if not should we mail the package without the phone records? am a bit confused as at now.cos we dont have phone records in the package ,and we are mailing this afternoon.

next question .

what happens after u mail.i know they send u something back i read that somewhere here.how long does that take .what happens if they dont send u a reply?

sorry to be a bother but i really need to know cos even tho its hard to tell its like am filling out the petition when its really not me but hi,.its sad cos he works so hard all day round and when he gets back from work all sleepy he has to go tru this stress.i feel bad but he wont come live here at the end of the day so we have to make this happen.i really need the answers i asked.thank u all .peace and many blessings.sadwife to be :(

NO affidavit of support and financial docs in the K-1 petition package! It will be for the interview.

Please, review your package with the "Assembling the I-129F Package: Checklist" at this link: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

There are answers to all your questions on how to prepare your K-1 petition package.

After you sent the package, your fiance will receive a first notice of action (NOA1) after about 10 days. K-1 process flowchart is here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

And I would add, don't hurry to send your package if you didn't check at least 3 times that you have all in the checklist, and review that all the forms are completed correctly (it can happen easily to miss checking a little case, or anything…).

Follow the check list as stated, do not read anything into this process and keep the steps separated as different forms are needed. Read and reread them again and again, make sure both of you have an exact copy. Good Luck. If you get an RFE you are looking at a 30 day delay in most cases.

You will receive a RFE (Request For Evidence) if you forgot to include a document, if you forgot to check a box, if you didn't provide enough proof of having met in the last 2 years (it doesn't mean you need to send them a lot, but quality ones)…

It's better to lose few days and be sure you followed the checklist than losing a month or more because of a RFE.

photocopy of his Ghanaian visa and entry stamp is a good enough proof. also date the pictures and write names of the people in it and the location the picture was taken. the entry stamp with the date is a good proof. i don't think you really need any call record, but you can add it if it makes you feel any better. its also very important to make sure you sign and check every box you are required to.

besides reading the guides you should also look at the I-129F and G-325A example forms as they are good for showing you where to enter "N/A" or "NONE".

for proof of having met you need to send in copies of passport stamps and visas (include a copy of the bio page), boarding passes and flight itineraries are good to use alongside the passport stamps (make sure all dates are clearly readable), photos (with dates, location, and who is in the picture written on the back or underneath if the photo is stuck to a sheet of paper).

I-129F SENT............................................08/15/2011

NOA1 TEXT/EMAIL...................................08/22/2011

NOA2 TEXT/EMAIL. NO RFE.....................01/05/2012

NVC RECEIVED......................................01/21/2012

NVC LEFT...............................................01/24/2012

PACKET 3 RECEIVED..............................02/01/2012

PACKET 3 RETURNED.............................02/04/2012

MEDICAL................................................02/17/2012

DS-2001 MAILED.....................................02/23/2012

PACKET 4 RECEIVED..............................03/02/2012

INTERVIEW............................................03/14/2012 APPROVED

POE ATLANTA.........................................04/03/2012

AOS approved 3/29/13 after almost 10 months of waiting. No RFE's and no interview.
