When is POE??

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you both. Please let us know how POE goes! And remember.... breathe!!! :P

I'm trying :) I'm a naturally stressed person, I think. Reading the JFK POE reviews this morning did not help at all! It looks like my fiance's flight usually gets there an hour early, so I'm hoping a few things align in our favor today. Thank you for thinking of us!

Okay, he managed to get the flight attendant to change his ticket so he's 15 rows closer to the front now. That's definitely an improvement :)

Yay! I'm happy for you guys!! :D

Looks like late spring / early summer for us! But, that will give us time to plan, save $$, de-clutter, pack up my house, give proper notice to my landlord, let the kids finish their school year (I'm going to pull them out as early as I can without them losing their year - so they will have an extra long summer :) ). Yes the wait is hard, but with each day and and each step forward, it gets easier knowing that we will have forever together to make up for it! :D

It went great! He had to run for his flight, but he did manage to make the original flight and got here at 11:30 last night. POE wasn't too bad. The officer asked when his next flight was and let him go through after a few questions. It was a wonderful reunion! I wish I could've taken all of today off to spend with him, but the weekend is almost here. I've never been happier :) Now to get the marriage license and actually get married! Thank you all for your messages of support, I really appreciate it :)

It's crazy how much the requirements vary by state. I'm planning on getting my marriage license today and was slightly worried because the website states that a SS # is required before you can have one. Then I called and the first woman I spoke to said I would also need a US driver's license for my fiance. She transferred me to another woman, and thankfully, she said that I didn't need a US driver's license for him and that we can fill out an affidavit since I doubt we could get an SS card by the wedding. I really wish that the US would make the marriage/SS card/driver's license requirements for K1 holders to be the same for each state.
