well, my brother waited from 8am to 6pm in my flat that i had so rudely forgotten to fill with er... any food at all! and at 7.30pm, when everyone had given up hope, and i was walking back to the tube station from coffee in chelsea with sara80, my phone rang - it was here!

when i got home i was terrified to even open the plastic envelope it came in, but figured - ive gotta get in somehow to get my passport! i was also very skeptical because my name was written incorrectly TWICE (in two diferent ways) on the front. i didn't think that was a good sign... tentatively opened the outside envelope, saw another brown envelope inside, and my passport just lying on top.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

To be opened only by the United States Immigration of Public Health Officer

This sealed package must be surrenedered to the US immigration officer at the Port of Entry into the United States

Do not pack it - it must be hand carried

And there you go!!! I hope you all have yours in your hand very very soon.

Good luck to all with interviews this week! I hope my fiancé has his soon after his medical which will be next week!

Hoping for a speedy NOA2 for those who are still waiting.

Djricky, I dont think I got my letter until like... Maybe the 20th or so? And I was approved on July 12th if it makes you feel better. Hope you get the NOA2 soon. I think it probably just has something to do with USCIS mail. I dont think you'd get a message saying you were approved if you really weren't. Call USCIS and tell em you never got the letter ;)

Our K-1 Visa Journey

1/17/12: Mailed Original I129F packet via USPS with signature confirmation to Dallas Lockbox

1/19/12: Packet received at Dallas Lockbox

1/24/12: Received text message notification at 12:47am central time stating packet was received and our case number

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

9/5/12: Received response from London Embassy (via email) stating interview date had been changed to 9/10/12

9/7/12: Received new letter from London Embassy with new interview date & time

9/17/12: Received Visa in the mail

Just over 24 hours until my interview time.

I hardly slept last night and I suspect that tonight will be the same! Fortunately myself and L have gone through every document and piece of evidence daily since Monday last week so that's added a little added confidence. Also, thank god they make expanding envelopes. The amount of stuff I have in here is rather crazy, so I'm beginning to wonder what I should be giving to the quiet lady. *phwew*

what do you mean by that? My letter says it has been forwarded to listed consulate but don't all those letters say that? Shouldn't it go to the NVC first?

Hey Sabi

I just wanted to let you know that mine said that too, but it still goes to NVC, as that is DOS and they have to issue the case number. When we received our NOA2 Tommy called NVC and they told us it has to go through them! It took 23 days before they scanned it into their system.

Good luck and congrats to all with interviews this week......i have been in hospital so was out of loop for last few days and just catching up now.....we are waiting for pack 4 from Dublin hopefully this week!
