This is wholly unfair. Why not you? You're not even from a high fraud country either!

Well Photomile... I feel like there are two ways to look at this situation:

1) Perhaps it is because our case is not cut and dry, we have both been divorced and Rick is petitioning for me as well as my two minor children, other than that everything else is normal.. no police records for either of us and Rick works for the Dept. of Defense, so it is not a support issue at all.

OR:

2) Our adjudicator happens to be a lazy &*#$ with no feelings at all, that naps in his cubicle as much as possible throughout his work day, takes the maximum sick days and vacation days that he can.. and just really hates his job. Our petition is sitting in a mile high pile on his desk!! :bonk:

:lol::rofl:

Either way... sucks for us!! :huh:

I know from the interview thread that someone did with an adjudicator that yeah, those take a bit longer but... this long?

I'm going on option 2 here!

For any of you who don't know... Things seem to move through NVC pretty fast. Our things arrived 2 days ago, and left to the consulate today. NVC won't commit to a time that it will arrive, but I was told that it was sent over to Moscow electronically and that I can contact the embassy next week to check on it, and I don't need to talk to them anymore. They also told me they are sending a letter telling me it was forwarded to the consulate. All I can say, is that its completely different than USCIS / VSC... So much quicker, and they seem much more helpful too.

Thanks DJ!.. :)

It really helps that I am with my fiance and we have some nice plans for the weekend, so yes, I am not even going to think about this NOA2, I am going to enjoy my last weekend with my hunny! :D

Monday we are going to pay a visit to our congressman's office, and meet the lady that is trying to help us in person. It might help us and her to put a face to a name.. not sure if contacting the congressman helped us or hindered us... but at this point, we have nothing to lose really... I'm simply hoping at this point, not to get a second RFE.

Oh boy I saw that! Jeesh! My guess from the writing style is that the person who opened the envelope doesn't have English as their native language so it could be why the instruction was missed

I know right? Ray is so scared of doing something wrong... even if he was not warned, if he saw in large letters DO NOT OPEN, he would be so scared to even touch the thing.... I don't get it. He is putting his in a very safe place so no one else is tempted to open it. Some crazy stories here on VJ sometimes!

BTW: When the airport asks if you packed all of the contents yourself, should you say to them all but this: and show them the packet. I never thought about that. ????

OMG I was just reading that thread..that is crazy! I think things ended up like that for the poster for multiple reasons and it just went down hill from there for her. That's too bad. unsure.gif
