The police cert is done with No Trace, which is what London needs :) I'm very happy that it means we can move forward to the medical, and then the interview.

It is depressing, KTandTommy, but that was then and this is now. Unfortunately, we have to go with whatever USCIS and the embassies give us, at least for now. We're at their mercy in this whole thing. I do think everything happens for a reason. USCIS was really slow until my NOA2, but now London is granting interviews much faster than normal. On an unrelated note, this morning, a man hit my car in the parking lot, and if I hadn't had trouble finding the lids for my coffee, I would've left a few seconds earlier and the driver's side of my car would've been hit instead of the back. Because I was slower, my car was only minorly damaged and I'm okay. I think as long as we try and concentrate on the good, and concentrate on getting things done ahead of time and on the moving process, we should all be with our fiance/ees this year :) On the bright side, it does look like USCIS is definitely speeding up :)

Sorry to hear about your accident, Knope... but glad to hear it wasn't worse!

It hopefully won't need any repair, as it was just a scrape. I plan on getting a new car in the next year, so I don't want to do any cosmetic work on it. At least we all have Friday to be thankful for :) It's been a slow week for me.

How do you know that the NVC has sent your petition? Is there some way to check it?

They will send you a letter with case number when the package is forwarded, but if you can't wait, you can call them and find out a few days sooner.

Has anyone else found that the NVC letter is incredibly slow? Mine came a full month after approval

I got my letter while I was in the UK. It was dated for July 22 or 23 and then my fiancé got his letter from the London Embassy on July 27th I believe stating they'd received our case yada yada yada we were approved at VSC on July 12th

I got my letter about a week after it had been forwarded.

Thanks, wdm1986! I'm wary of driving anyway, and this is not helping. I'll be getting my fiance used to driving on the US side of the road as quickly as possible.
