Maybe it's just NM... - My mom lived there about half of every year for the past decade or so... And she always told me anytime she needed something done, the answer for everything was... "mañana" (tommorrow)... But I must say she liked the pace of life there... very laid back... and it has some very beautiful places if you like the outdoors... I like it there... :)

FWIW: I just talked to Customer Service @ USCIS... I thought I might as well give it a shot too... Told me that VSC was a little behind and I am inside normal processing time and to check back after July 15th if I have not received an answer already.

so similar answer to the one that Knope2012 got... that means we are on someone's desk already! It is coming guys! Hold on tight! :)

yes NM is beautiful, I've already had a bit of taste of it :) I am actually happy I will be moving there during the fall as the weather right now would absolutely kill me :)

My fiance received a call from his congressman and she just said that she is on it, that customer service at VSC just don't know what they are doing !!! She also said that sadly its not the first time and surely not the last one either ! That was not much but we feel better that at least someone who can get things moving for us actually care and took us in charge ! :D

Yes. Finally, some consistency! and that's all we were asking for. I think we've all been very reasonable people throughout this grueling process and some communication and consistency was all we hoped for. I feel much better. And I think it's anytime for most of us now. so keep your fingers crossed and maybe just maybe this week could end nicely for some of us. and within the next 2 - 3 weeks certainly done for all of us.

Well, good not to be the mid-may Lost cali 129F approvals, many still waiting for NVC to receive them. Or how about our own StraightShooter NOA1 Jan 28... Just got visa approved. CONGRATS Straight!! Both ends of the spectrum, guess we are all somewhere in-between. But one thing for sure is we can all be thankful for our loved ones, soon enough or not so soon enough to be together forever!! (L)

Yes. We're all getting there! The final component to the puzzle is that VSC awakens from its slumber! hopefully it was just taking a long weekend to sleep. need some approvals the rest of this week to get is a little closer.

Yes, we all know they are capable of ringing out Jan in 1-2 weeks time. Would like to see this happen sooner rather than later!! It is a bit hard to believe the "slowdown" has lasted so long... we all thought approvals by end May, way back when Dec was finishing up...!!!

Yes =/. I really hope we've all heard something by July 17th. If most of our files are with an adjudicator protocol dictates 30 days for a decision to be made (RFE or approval)... I'm thinking a few approvals this week. Fewer the next week. and then maybe they direct some resources toward K1s again. But I would be very happy to be wrong, and they just get this started now...we shall see. I think if things remain as they are now, we'll all have to accept that next week will also be pretty low in activity.

Yes. It's hard to believe how long this has been going on now. Never would have expected it..ha. seems like those of us still waiting literally picked two of the worst weeks to file for the petition.

Yyyooouuu can say that again Paul! I Had high hopes bc I read somewhere that the beginning of the year was slow for k1s meaning they got thru them fast. That's what I get for getting my hopes up. Things always seem to work out that way for me. I can NEVER catch a dang break!

Please let there be no RFE :( that'd be just my luck and the icing on the cake :(

Yes. An RFE would be my worst nightmare too right now.... This process is enough to drive anyone crazy. Let's just hope they can get us our approvals and be done with it...I'm starting to think that the slowness was a disadvantage for us...made them shift focus to something else since January usually has lower number of submissions than other months. But that backlog has to be huge now...It's crazy to think they have all of Feb, March, April, May, and were almost through June...They've barely touched February at VSC. Boxes have to be piled everywhere. Must be a sight to see.

I wish I could see it that way I knew for sure my file wasn't lost in the mountain :( hopefully with what Knope said, that will mean the box with all of ours in it is with an adjucator. Fingers crossed! ;)

Com'on ya stupid ole VDC!!!! I'd like to give em a good kick in the pants!

a little update: we got a letter yesterday from our congressman's office saying that they got our forms and they contacted the proper authorities and are waiting for the report so as soon as they get it , they will be in touch. The letter is dated 06/22 so I am sure another letter is on its way... looks like our congressman's office likes writing letters :) as long as they do sth we are happy though :)

BTW no movements on the USCIS website, something big must be coming as this is a weird silence! :)
