I know this has been asked a thousand times, but what are you guys using to calculate your 5 months? Are you using the day your app was recieved or are you using the day you received your text/email from USCIS?

Our K-1 Visa Journey

1/17/12: Mailed Original I129F packet via USPS with signature confirmation to Dallas Lockbox

1/19/12: Packet received at Dallas Lockbox

1/24/12: Received text message notification at 12:47am central time stating packet was received and our case number

1/24/12: Received E-Notification in email that I129F packet was being sent to VSC for initial review

1/27/12: Received NOA1 in US mail

7/12/12: Received text notification at 3:45pm central time stating our case had been updated *APPROVED!*

7/15/12?: Received NOA2 in US mail (not sure of this date)

7/20/12: NVC forwarded case to London Embassy

7/27/12: Fiance received letter from London Embassy stating they'd received our case and instructions for obtaining interview

7/30/12: Fiance mailed DS 156, DS 156K, DS 230, DS 157, DS 2001 to London Embassy

8/20/12: Medical

8/31/12: Called DOS and was told interview date: 10/3/12

9/3/12: Sent email to London Embassy requesting interview date be changed

9/5/12: Received response from London Embassy (via email) stating interview date had been changed to 9/10/12

9/7/12: Received new letter from London Embassy with new interview date & time

9/17/12: Received Visa in the mail

YAY! Congrats to everyone! I wasn't on here at all yesterday due to work stuff but several more approvals have come through!!! Wow. kate&javi and I are hoping that our interviews will be the same day ;) That would be fun! This has turned out to be quite a week for January filers! Now I am super nervous about NVC.......Honduras does not seem to be a fast turn-around for interviews....so if NVC is slow, that will not help at all! We have to just wait until they assign us our date...yuck. Well, at least a bunch of us have NOA2s now! Biggest hurdle has been crossed. And here's to next week for the rest of you--so glad that things are finally heating up! They must have finished whatever that other work was that was taking up all of their time lately.

January 3, 2012 Mailed I-129F

January 9, 2012 NOA1

June 11, 2012 NOA2 rec'd 154 days later...

July 5, 2012 NVC rec'd and new case number given

July 9, 2012 Left NVC en route to Honduras! :)

July 13, 2012 Received at Embassy!

Aug. 7, 2012 Interview date and Packet 4 rec'd by email

Oct. 8, 2012 Medical

Oct. 10, 2012 INTERVIEW: APPROVED!!!

Oct. 16, 2012 Visa in hand

Oct. 23, 2012 POE Atlanta

Dec. 30, 2012 Wedding! ;)

Hi everyone,

Am a newbie here I would like to ask if how can I check the status of ours? Our noa1 date is 1/12 and everytime I checked it online it says our numbers couldn't be found. What does it mean? Please enlighten me.

It happens to a lot of people. There's nothing you can do about it. Some people have their visas in hand but their online status still cannot be found or it says "initial review". Did you try and sign up for a case status update on USCIS.gov? Their online system is unreliable but sometimes once people are approved ( when they get their NOA2) it magically appears on their website and they can see their status :)

VJ says my timeframe for NOA2 ends on Monday...I still have hope for today...it would make it a great weekend, and a great week for Jan filers! :)

Mine has changed from 5-12 June to 12-22 :) looks like there is a chance we will make it within those dates! Fingers crossed!

Definitely. Would be so awesome for them to adjudicate our petitions close together. The gates are open! ha. But I will control my optimism for today. It is a Friday however....But the next 2 weeks should be very good.
