Question about photocopy of the passport

I was advised by a friend of mine to do so who also happens to be an Immigration Lawyer in Houston TX. All I can say is that it wouldn't hurt and I'd rather send them copies of all pages.

i opened it.. copied front and back of book..

then flipped the page and made copy.. (two pages at time..)

Passport copies are not one of the required pieces of initial evidence for the I-751. You'll need a copy of your green card (front and back).

These are both correct, you do not need a copy of your passport.

You need the copy of your GC.

Thank-you for clearing that up, all who posted! I was starting to get worried about an RFE since we didn't copy the passport!

But I think I'd like to add it since I've changed my last name after arrival and my green card and my CDN passport have different last names.
