Can speed up application to keep family together?

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if, after having applied for a K1 fiance visa from Europe (where I live with my fiance), it is possible to speed up the application process due to changes in work that would split the famiy up?

Basically we applied for the visa from Europe, where we both live with our daugther, and now my work has asked me to move to the states immediately (I would start work in the states in mid-Feb, while the visa was only submitted in end December). This means that I, the mother, would have to go without my fiance, the father, and our daughter would be seperated from one of us until my fiance gets the visa. Is there any extra support due to our family status that might speed up the process? Or can he come visit us on some special status until he gets his visa?

Thanks for any info you might have!!!

Eniko

No speeding up- almost all families are split up during the process.

Is he Hungarian? If so, he can use the visa waiver program to visit for up to 90 days at a time.

But what if my daughter would be seperated from me, the mother? Does that make a difference? Because I need to go to the states for work purposes and I can't take my daughter with me if my fiance isn't with us, as in our case he is the caretaker who stays home with the child. Does that change anything?

No. Expedites are only granted under extreme emergency situations. I believe they are severe financial hardship, danger to one's safety, and medical emergencies. Some people can also get expedites if the USC is in the military.

No. I'm afraid Not.

What you would be requesting is an Expidite and would not qualify.

Your in it for the Long Run and its hard when you have immediate family.

No. You can choose to leave the child with your fiance, or bring her with you and leave her with family, or bring her with you and hire a nanny.

If I was the mother, I would dis-agree with this line of action. The child would be in the US and therefore in Custody of the Petitioner. The petitioner can at any point decide not to follow through.

If I was the Immigrant mom. I would not like this course of action.

Just Me.
