You got the NOA1 you shouldn't worry, just have to wait out the processing time. Had you not gotten an NOA1 or anything then you should worry.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Texas is not a service center, you are either Vermont EAC, or California WAC. Its noted on your 797 you received.

If you are a WAC, California you might as well grab a rocking chair as they are stating they are still working on June 16th!

California is slow right now and if you look at this then you will realise your far from being alone in your wait. just scroll down to july and august but ignore the most recent approvals cos that will just piss you off lol...

my advice (and i will admit, it is easy for me to say this now i have been approved) is dont worry about it... it will happen when it happens and for me it happened when i had resigned myself for a really long wait :)

We sent out our documents on July 23 and our NOA1 is dated July 25. We have not received our NOA2 yet either. There is a huge backlog for July filers.

Here is what I found via Google. I'm sure someone who has contacted any service center before can advise if this is correct or incorrect:

Step 1: Contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The NCSC can assist customers, community-based organizations and liaison groups with case related inquiries. Before calling the NCSC please have available your receipt number, alien registration number, type of application filed and date filed. During your call we recommend that you take note of the following information:

-The name and/or id number of the NCSC representative

-The date and time of the call

-Any service request referral number, if a service referral on a pending case is taken

Step 2: If more than 15 days have passed since you contacted the NCSC and the issue has not been resolved or explained you can email the proper USCIS Service Center to check the status of your case.

-California Service Center: csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov

Please note: Emails should be sent to the Service Center that has jurisdiction over your case. The receipt notice will indicate EAC for the Vermont Service Center, SRC for the Texas Service Center, LIN for the Nebraska Service Center, and WAC for the California Service Center.

Step 3: In the event you do not receive a response within 21 days of contacting the appropriate Service Center, you may email the USCIS Headquarters Office of Service Center Operations by email at: SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov. You will receive a response from this email address within ten days.

While I understand that everyone is telling you to be patient and that California "is only processing as of June 16" right now, if it were me (and it will be me in about four months), there is no harm in calling, emailing, contacting a representative of Congress, etc. It's a little frustrating for me to see people who were lucky or were approved leave sarcastic comments. If I'm at five months, I don't care what the delay is or what other people have been told. For me, and what everyone else should do is get on the phone to someone, anyone who can provide any sort of update or answer.

I have a 3 AUG 11 NOA1. California center,, called last week and was told they were "behind schedule" and there is nothing to do, was told 2 more months, even as the 5 month "time" was passed. Contacted my senator on Wednesday the 18th and sent him the paperwork. Got the answer from USCIS on Friday morning, my file is being "worked on" expect an answer or RFE within 45 days. our tax dollars at work. No wonder there are so many illegals here.

hahaha, look like they are starting to use RFEs as a way to give them more time. i got a notice of RFE too. i wonder what is the cause for the RFE. i triple checked everything again and could not find anything that would give them a reason for a RFE. i got my NOA1 on August 3, too.
