We've known each other since 2007, finally meet October 2011. You can read a little more of our story in my Profile.... for help or suggestions in our situation. Thank you in advance! smile.gif

He proposed! biggrin.gif We got engaged... heart.gif because getting married would be too difficult through the Holidays in the U.K. I lived with him for 3 months and we took lots of pictures and of the engagement. Our relationship has been long distance for the most part so we have a lot of Skype and messenger conversations/Facebook. I wish I could find a way to retrieve all the phone calls he has made in the past year and a half from London. Metro PCS doesn't do call history for long distance calls and I'm not sure if there is another way to obtain this info.? One of my questions would be now that we are engaged and I met his family through Skype, had lots of opportunities to speak to them and they gave us their blessings... Is there any supporting evidence that they would have to give us like letter or document showing their approval? They live in Morocco, from there... so would they have to notarize the translation of original written or typed letter? I think this would have to be done for most of the documents coming from Morocco, English translation and notary? He also got my families approval before I left to London and they talked through Skype. Since I've heard that videos are not accepted, my family took pics of all of us talking to him on Skype. Would my family have to provide letters as well to support our case, they live here in U.S. with me.? Also the MAIN QUESTION would be now that I'm back from London... What is a reasonable time to start the K-1 process and filing? If there is any link you guys can share for me to read or suggestions. I'm also interested in reading things on sponsorship or what is needed from me and or taxes or amounts I should have before he can come here for those 90 days. That would be highly appreciated from us. I will work on my timeline. Still a little confused with navigating through the site, fairly new on here.

Have A Blessed Day

Congratulations!!! The K-1 Visa will take anywhere from 6 - 10 months to process completely, provided you don't run into any issues. You can start any time you are ready. The sooner, the better. Gather your forms, gather your supporting documents and get to work! Don't forget to include flight tickets, train tickets...primary evidence. Follow the guides on VisaJourney for the K-1 Visa and you should be good to go. Good luck and congratulations!

Also, I highly recommend you connect with those going through the Consulate in Morocco as they can give more detailed advice as to what to expect from that Embassy.

Thank you so much for the advice! smile.gif I will take a look at that Forum. Also he lives in UK as a student, going on for 2 years now... I'm trying to find out if we can go through the Moroccan Embassy there.

London was beautiful! Cheers. biggrin.gif

WELCOME

and Congratulations on your engagement

Well first make yourself very familiar with this site. VJ is extremely helpful for the process ahead of you both. Read the Guides under K1 if you have not already.

And for your evidence keep almost everything that tags you two together for your proof. If you were together in London...as I think I read correctly, photos taken together, maybe a receipt for the engagement ring, any sweet heart cards you passed to each other...etc. Plus the other evidence you mentioned...sounds like you have the idea already about emails.

Keep reading from the Moroccan Portal...there are many kind and knowledgeable people on here that are very eager to help with their personal experiences of going through the CASA Embassy.

And about the affidavit of support...If you pose your question and your situation...I am positive someone will offer advice.

I really wish you good luck! :star:
