I have read a few cases that did require the USC to have an interview at the NBC National Benefits Center before the I-130 is approved.

I have read a few cases that after the foriegn interview the CO calls the USC and gives them a phone interview.

I have read a couple stories about how after or directly before an interview the embassy sent out some goons to the USC job and the foreigners family and doormen to question (interview) them.

So, my answer is yes, sometimes the usc gets an interview if there is any doubts about the relationsip.

Thank you, reason I asked was because I read on here that some get AP or denials because they have some info wrong.

But how would they know if they did not interview the USC.

It completely depends on the consulate. Petitioners who aren't present in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and elsewhere risk throwing their relationship out the window. Read the reviews for YOUR consulate, paying attention to the very WORST stories, and beware.

I'm a USC and got interviewed immediately after submitting the I-130s for my wife and step-child. The USCIS officer stated this was standard operating procedure for CR-1 applications to verify that there's a bonafide marriage. Perhaps it's just DCF, and perhaps just Moscow, but I can assure you that I was in fact interviewed.
