Proof of meeting, ongoing relationship-How Much?

I am preparing my K-1 Fiancee Visa packet. How much is needed for the meeting and ongoing relationship? Should I copy all phone records, all Yahoo Messenger conversations, all emails to submit? It seems like I would be shipping them a small box with all of these documents. If I do reduce the paperwork, what should be left in and what should be eliminated? How many pictures should I have developed for them? The boarding passes, are copies ok to submit or do they want the originals?

I guess what I am asking is how much should be submitted?

It doesn't take that much. A half-dozen pictures of both of you with family, copies of your boarding passes, a half-dozen emails, or chat pages, discussing your future together, without including the juicy parts. You should be able to fit the whole I-129F packet into a standard express mailer envelope. No originals at this point, except for the forms and letter of intent. Photocopies only, unless specifically requested.

Philippines doesn't require preloading, so don't go overboard.

Did your fiance have to provide any additional proof at the interview?

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

For the Philippines, they will want to see more proof of continuing relationship, and proof of income for the the sponsor. Everybody goes overboard on pictures, but usually the IO will look at one or two, because it is expected. The interview questions is what gets folks in trouble, so make sure your fiancee has a copy of everything you sent to the USCIS. They asked my fiancee at the time, "What kind of car/truck does your fiance drive, where does he work, and what kind of work does he do, what color are his eyes, how many brothers and sisters does he have, and where do they live?"

I backed down from 20 pix to just 9 now, but have maybe 10 emails, 1/2 dozen chats, etc.. I'm sending copies of my boarding passes and receipts in the package, but was wondering if the originals need to go to my fiance.

The questions you mentioned... did they seem age appropriate? That is, I'm 58 and retired, not 20 and still slaving away somewhere. My parents are long passed and my siblings are irrelevant. I can't see an interviewer asking her about such things in my case.

But, I will definitely brief my fiance on pertinent mundane stuff, like my truck make/model/color/year.

She already has my eye color burned into her brain.

I was 50 at the time, and self-employed. They may just have a series of questions they ask all applicants. The IO is probably interviewing 5 or 6 people an hour, 40-50 people a day, and 200-250 people a week. I am sure they have it down to a routine, and know what responses they are looking for, pass or fail.

The questions can come from anywhere, but the answers can only be verified by what the IO has in front of her. So, your fiancee needs to know what is in that stuff you sent directly to the USICS.

Interesting, thanks! I am planning on sending my fiancee a duplicate package to what I send the USCIS.

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

I didn't include that many e-mails. However, I did include my boarding passes (stamped), visa page (stamped), pictures from our times together in 2010 and when I was in Moscow, an e-mail between the two of us about the apartment we rented for my trip there, pictures of the 40+ calling cards I had saved, our "intent to marry" document signed by the both of us, and a receipt for a bouquet of flowers that I bought her Valentines's Day 2011 that were delivered to her home in Russia from me in the US (the personalized message that I wrote was on the receipt as well).

BTW - I have everything for our K-1 visa (evidence, receipts, packets sent, etc) saved in a database on Dropbox for her and I to access from anywhere at anytime.

You don't need to proove your in a relationship at this stage just that you have met.

A photo from each time you have met, boarding passes, hotel receipts should be enough.

Just don't over do it.

You need proof of meeting recently i.e. photos and boarding passes. No proof of relationship is required.

9/19/11 - sent I-129F

9/21/11 - email NOA1

9/27/11 - hard copy NOA1

3/20/12 - congressional inquiry (6 months since NOA1)

4/4/12 - inquiry result: petition approved (still no NOA2 text/email/letter)

4/20/12 - packet 3 received from embassy

Not quite. You still need letters of intent. But the level of proof is low. The petition is just the foot in the door, if the petitioner passes the background checks, and qualifies otherwise.

A steady flow on continued conversation, letters, Skype to show on going. You don't have to use everything you collect then use the best. You will be fine.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
