I am getting close to finishing my initial K-1 Fiancee petition. My Fiancee needs a passport photo and to sign the G-325a and Statement of Intent.

1) She obtained her passport within the last 6 months. I have a scanned in copy of her passport. Can I just crop her picture and take it down to have the picture developed to passport size specifications?

2) Can she print the G-325a and Statement of Intent, sign them, scan them, email them to me? Then I can just print them and add to the package to be mailed? Or is the original copy required with the application?

Thanks again for all of your wonderful help.

Char

2) all signatures need to be original signatures so you cant use a scanned copy.

1) it all depends on the quality of the photo but she will need to mail you the G-325A and letter of intent anyway so she may as well mail you a proper passport photo at the same time just to be sure

1) Have her go down to her local shop and get the passport photo done the correct US specifications, it needs to be a 'white background' not blue. Keep in mind you will need a few more copies down the road so make more then one!

2) No! Original Signature.

I forgot about the white background. Her current passport has a blue background. (How could you possibly have known! LOL!

I emailed my Fiancee the instructions. I now need to print and proofread her G-325a and Statement of Intent to Marry looking for errors. Then I will email her those forms for her signature.

My Initial filing is getting close! I should have everything ready to go once I receive her snail mail.

Thanks!

then once you put all the package together... check and re-check again. a few extra days now spent making sure everything is perfect could save weeks in sorting out an RFE.

good luck

And one more piece of advice I like to call C.Y.A! Have her sign two copies of the G325A , make two identical copies of your K-1 petition. One to send, one to save as back-up.

Try the fill-in form, you can save the data and send her the completed from to sign, via email. http://www.uscis.gov...form/g-325a.pdf
