Hello,

I got my Conditional Residence 5/12/2009 and lifted my conditions last year (2011), now I have a 10 year Green card that was issued 5/5/2011.

What date do I use if I want to apply for my citizenship?

Would the 3 year be since 5/12/2009 or 3 years since my permeant residence 5/5/2011??

Please let help me with this....

Thank you!

Since the date in 2009. Though the first GC is conditional for two years, you are just as "full" of a permanent resident as you are with the 10 year GC. You can file for citizenship in about a month - 90 days before your 3-year anniversary as a permanent resident.

It would be 3 years since 5/12/2009. This means you can file 90 days before your 3 years on 5/12/2012, or starting 2/12/2012. The calculator is located here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=e6051c613880f210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Just checked the Resident since dates on both my wife's conditional and ten year cards I have copies of in my computer.

Both those dates are the same! Are your resident since dates different on your two cards? If they are, you have problems.

Nope, not different. Was just wondering if that'll make a difference since they might have a record that shows the first 2 years were on conditions. But I guess not! :)
