Well called NVC and our 1-129F is on its way to Manila, via DHL, left yesterday.

My fiance went down to the U.S Embassy to get the paper to request police report from Egypt, she was there all day....She has to go back down in the morning to the Egyptian consulate to get fingerprinted then it gets fwd to Cairo. She was informed it will take about 30 days to get back. I suggested she ask if there is a way to expedite?

My fiance' was also informed, while the Fiance Visa is a non immigrant visa, THEY consider it to be an immigrant visa, thus all the extra requests. Nice.

I did see on UStraveldoc.ph you can request your appt online and also change appt, so I was thinking maybe when we are a bit further along in this, maybe to schedule it, and it the police report isn't back from Cairo, to just go back online, or call, and reschedule? I am not sure how long out they are scheduling appts anyways. She has plenty to do while waiting for the police report anyways.

Just wanted to update you guys.

Hi Ron & Diana

That is great to hear that the case is now forwarded to manila. Now that you fiance has put in the request for Police clearance in Cairo. You can now get started on all the other steps. The Police clearance is need only at the USEM interview as one of the required documents.

Medical is next and you can prepare for that process. Also preparing you fiance's package for the interview. Plenty of time to review and go over all documents.

Patients will get you through this and complete all!!!

I have faith that you two be together in USA before you know it.

God Bless and keep us posted. :)

Thanks Wally, we are preparing to prepare, lol. We are hoping that most of the wait we have to do for the police clearance from Egypt will but eaten up by the things she has to do in Manila to prepare for the interview anyways, as you mentioned, medical, etc. Diana did mention lady at Embassy said a few of the things she had already secured are not really the best forms, so she has to take care of those as well.

I know she will be here before I know it, haha, can't wait.

Thanks for helping out friend.

To save time, I recommend that your fiancée complete the medical, the CFO seminar, and the interview. At her interview, since she won't have the police clearance, the consular officer will issue her a 221g which will require her to submit the police clearance when it arrives. Once she submits the police clearance, all she has to do is kick back and wait for her visa. Once she receives her visa, she can go get the CFO sticker. Done...and ready to fly!

No, No It took a Month for our case when it was approved to get to NVC from CSC. When is the last time you visited Diana?? its been awhile since I have been there cause of Graces Dads illness and she was at the Hospital along with all her family taking turns over a Month. Well since then he Passed the first part of December so we back on track. its been a Hard 4 Months for her and her family and myself. My Main focus though was on her, not the process.Thank God though we about to finish soon. I want to go that time for her interview, its just my choice to do that. Updated Letter of intent is Good!!!

Hi Ron:

So your Fiance was able to get the letter "request for Egypt police report" without scheduling an interview or interview letter? or did you guys book an interview already and she brought the confirmation letter with her to the USEM?

My Fiance is going to need a police report from another country as well and she was advised that she needed a letter from the USEM before they can process it. We were going to wait till we got our interview confirmation letter then go and ask for the letter in USEM. But if it is possible to get it before scheduling an interview that would be great.

Any feed back is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
