Yes I did :)location and date taken and our names.

No I don't think we need to state that if we are to get married in the USA. the intent of merry is sufficient as far as I am aware.

Thanks :)

The way you worded it makes it seem like you just both signed one form and one letter together. So long as there is a separate G-325A and letter of intent for each of you with original signatures on them, then I think that is all you need.

If anyone has been previously married, then a copy of the divorce decree is needed. Otherwise, I think you have it all.

The Guide has an excellent checklist that can be used. You can send your petition FedEx, though USPS worked well for most of us.

Good luck,

It looks all good.

I'd start getting the odpis zupelny aktu urodzenia, it takes time to get this; and have a translation. Once you get the original, get a few copies. All this is for later.

Good luck

thanks :) I actually already have it all together with a criminal records back in Poland. I moved to Ireland in 2004 and my criminal record is from 2006 so I am assuming it will do? I only need to get a criminal record from Ireland and it should be sufficient I hope since I live here not in Poland anymore.

Could you please confirm what kind of copies and where do I have to make them?

Thank you

Hmm. If your interview will be in Ireland, then you will need all Polish documents translated to English. You will need translations anyway when you get into the AOS, which is after marriage.

We did the translation with a local office in Warsaw, but if your English is good enough -and I would think it is-, then you can translate yourself and save some money. There was a post here recently about translations and basically it is to add a paragraph to the translated document stating that you are fluent in both languages.

I'm not sure but you might still be asked for a police record from Poland (which seems you have), your assumption could be correct, but I'd not risk it until confirmed by the Embassy. Embassies often want those records from every country you have lived and enforcement is stronger in some countries; thus you might want to ask for people specifically doing interviews in Ireland who are not nationals, as it is also often the case that each Embassy has some of their own procedures -our experience is in Warsaw-. Best yet would be to contact the Embassy there and ask specifics about your case.

You might also want to be aware that sometimes NVC -National Visa Center- forwards petitions to the country of origin, Poland in this case and if your desire is to interview in Dublin, then you need to change the place.

For your question, 2-3 copies of birth certificate (at least 1 original from the records office of course, the others are your own made copies) and the translations. It is advised here and is a good idea to have copies of everything you send, some even make double copies; so you can refer to them when you are preparing for the interview and in case something is lost in transit or at the USCIS, NVC, Embassy.

I am sure I will be asked that and I do have one from 2006, I'm wondering would they accept it, but to be on a safe side I will probably get a new one just to be sure :)

Hmmm well I hope this won't happen since we've put Dublin Embassy on the form and also I am a citizen here since 2004. :) fingers crossed as it would be too much hassle for me to fly all the way to Poland to have my interview there...

Thanks for all your help :)
