Hi!! I'm new to all this visa process...I recently received a letter from the American Consulate General telling me I needed to schedule both an Applicant Service Center Appointment (ASC) and a consular interview. But when I try to fill out the DS-260 it won't let me sign and submit the form. I don't know if its because I have to pay the fee first, but I am at total lost to where to pay it. Can anyone help? I would appreciate it and I am filing in Ciudad Juarez. Thanks :)

Hi! You really should review the DS-260 because you actually need to fill it out first. Doing this will produce a confirmation page with a number that you will need for the ASC appointment website. After scheduling your appointment via ASC you will get a printed receipt that you can pay at the bank (I think Banamex). There must be something missing with the DS-260 if you can't sign it, or maybe a problem with the server at the time. No worries, just try again. Good luck!

Thanks for the Help. I have filled out the Ds-260 but it won't submit. I also tried paying the fee but it won't show me that option to do so. I'm trying to wait to see if its the browser...I'm trying to be patient but I want to make the appointment already.

I'm confused. Your post indicates how do I pay the Visa Fee. The fee is $340.00 and must be exact. Then you go into Ds Forms.? Can you make a timeline?

I don't remember what the Visa Fee is. I think it is $350.00. ($340.00 was the I-129-F Fee) There is Fee after Fee and it gets hard to remember.

You'll get the MRV fee receipt after making the appointment, although you will need the DS-260 confirmation number to access it. It might be the browser. I can't remember any problem filling it out, but maybe go back and check if all the fields were filled up correctly. Once the receipt comes, it will be in Pesos. Don't worry, it won't be as hard as it seems.

re: browser.

get on a PC running windows with IE 8.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I had the same problem before.

Just before you sign your form there is a statement you will need to read. Click on it. It is an acknowledgement of registering for Selective Service. Print this form out. By doing this it will allow you to sign your DS-260.

Good Luck.
