For those who are still waiting for FP letter but had biometrics done within the past 15 months, I found this link of some folks in the same boat. Some actually got skipped and just got in line for interview scheduling.

Blessed N Favored thanks for the link! Priority date on my NOA1 is 1/20 and I still haven't received a biometric appointment. I was a little worried at first but after reading some posts here I guess its normal.

4/14/12- 3rd yr as PR

1/17/12- mailed packet

Biometrics-- waived

4/25/12- interview- passed & took my oath the same day!!-- US Citizen!!!

My N400 Journey took 3months & 8days!:)

You're welcomed Pepper. Glad you stopped by to update us. Yes, it appears to be normal. So, just hang in there, hopefully you get to skip biometrics and be in line for interview soon! When were your last FP taken? When was your check cashed? Oh... and what's the NOA issue date? Feel free to update your info on the list.

Got the "yellow letter" today, case still in "initial review'. Hmm.

Well that's good then. It means they are fixing to get you in line for interview scheduling!!! Hang in there!

Finally have something to update! Received the yellow letter in the mail today recommending that I bring tax transcripts. Happy that I requested those already, because I figured that would be the case. We filed married/separately the first year (2008) we were married because I had no income to report and was not granted LPR status until 2009 anyway. So technically I was only able to provide two years of tax documentation (2009, 2010). We will probably file last year's taxes before the interview as well, so hopefully that's enough. Does anyone know if they care to see state tax documentation? Thanks!

Btw does anyone know, do you need the tax transcripts if you're applying on a 5 year basis?

No you don't but to be on the safe side just take them with you just in case they ask. It wasn't on the checklist. My friend had her interview based on 5 plus years and they didn't ask her for any tax info or any additional evidence. It was smooth sailing!

Yay!!!! So happy for you!!! Glad you finally heard something! As far as state tax docs I don't think they care much about that as long as you got your transcripts in your case. You should be in line for scheduling soon! :D

I've got a another question... I just got engaged to a USC last week... Will it be too much of a hassle to get married now while I am in the process of naturalization, or should we get married soon? Also he's in the military will that make it faster since he is in the service? Thanks!

Congratulations to both of you!!!! That's great news!!!:dance: If you are applying based on 5 years... don't worry about rushing into anything! The process ain't that long. That's my opinion anyways. But congrats! :D

My last biometrics was taken 2/25 last year. Honestly I did not check when my payment(check) was cashed. NOA issue date is 1/24. Thanks!!
