i m not sure if this is possible or not that's why i need your help is there a way to extend my wife CR1 visa? My wife got her Visa till Jun 5th, that's less than 6 months and she needs little bit more time (10 days) to finish her school. if there is a way please let me know how and what form do i need to fill out n all the details Please?

OR

if she gets into USA before jun 5th and goes back to India within one week can she go back without having a actual green card and if she can, will she need actual green card to come back to USA?

any help i will appreciate!!

Thanks

There are couple possible options see which one works for u.

1. She can work with her school and let them know she is perm moving to US and if they are willing to work with her and let her finish her work earlier.

2. She can talk to embassy and letting them know about school and asking them to issue another visa but it would be 6 months so hoping your wife's school is not getting done like in Aug or something.

3. The option you mentioned she can enter and then return back to finish off her school as mentioned in earlier post she would get a stamp in her passport which works as GC from the moment it is stamped in passport.

Thank you,

Can they (embassy) reissue her visa without going through any kind of interview's or anything else? if they can reissue her little bit longer, it will work perfectly she will be done with her school on Jun 10th or 20th.

The validity of the Visa cannot extend beyond the validity of her Medical Exam Results.

If the visa was issued with a validity period of less than 6 months then that's because her Medical expires at that time.

Say if you ask it to be changed to 20th June its not very many extra days you are asking for, they might be able to do it.

I was not aware that the visa was issued until medical expires as Bob mentioned, to my understanding it was always 6 months from date of issue.

I think easiest would be if she can talk to her school and get her work done ahead of time. Between 6/6 and 6/10 as you mentioned there are only 2 working days.
