yes. its going to be submitted to uscis office in texas. im going to start translating my emails then.

thanks for the quick response.

There is a canned "translated by" statement that should be included on the translated copies.

Okay, found it on the USCIS website. Here it is:

<LI>Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

The emails and chats are not needed for I-129F submission. They only will be needed at the embassy stage.

And again no one will read it anyway so no need to translate it.

Many of us from high fraud areas find it advisable to front load the Petition, whether that applies to the OP is up to him/her. USCIS requires that ALL documents be submitted in English or with a certfied translated copy. If they can't read it and it doesn't follow the rules they are free to toss it in the shredder.

To the OP, if you decide to submit these items with the 129F, I highly advise you follow the USCIS rules.

All documents submitted to the USCIS must be translated. Use a small sampling over the time range of your relationship if you want to go that route. No need to send them ALL your emails and chat logs. You could also do what someone else suggested and just show the basics, like the dates and the to/from print outs to show how often you communicate with each other. Later, when she has her visa interview, then have her bring in the emails, skype and phone logs, including all the extras from the time between filing this petition and the interview. They can stay in Spanish then.
