Anyone gone through THIS before?

I got married in Georgia(country)in Sept.2010.

Came back to America alone to start visa process, paperwork sent out Jan.17 2011

5 months later...approved.

Now at NVC, last step, have been reviewing 1 document for so long, I call every week, still reviewing that 1 document, and in 22 days it is going to 1 year! :(

Maimuni726,

I'm so sorry to hear that you have been stuck at the NVC for almost a year. We have been stuck at the NOA1 stage for just over a year, and no one can tell us why.

Did you asked the rep to speak to a supervisor. Do you know what document they are reviewing? Maybe there's supporting documents you can submit. I don't know for sure, hopefully, people who have been through the NVC can offer more accurate advice.

Our Love will get us through this. It grows stronger everyday.

they are reviewing my husbands police record, they don't believe it is valid, but in Georgia this is what they offer, and on the letter that mentioned he needed this document and provided the guy's contact information, the number was disconnected and other people in the office said that no man by that name worked there...

Well, if it's been more than a year since it was submitted into NVC, he needs a new one now regardless.

Suggest you call into NVC, get a Supervisor, ask for 'eyeball review' of the casefile, suggest to supervisor that the Reviewer assigned to the DS-230 got it wrong a year ago.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Not correct. The one year limitation applies only when NVC is waiting for a response from the petitioner or applicant. If you are waiting for NVC, they can take as long as they take. Regardless, the OP is contacting NVC weekly. The wording is...

If a period of one year passes without contacting the NVC (by e-mail, telephone, or mail), all

submitted fees and documents will expire. Upon expiration, the fees and documents would need to

be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

Push, ya got a point, but

A Police Certificate expires after a year, regardless of 'where it is' and 'in which queue'.

Correct. Police certificate not only need to be issued within a year of NVC submission but within a year of the actual interview. I recommend police certificates be less than six months old at interview. Separate issue though.

But , Push, that was the ONLY issue I was going on, about.

That other stuff was straightforward.
