I was wondering what happens following your biometrics appointment? My wife had her appointment this past Friday and was wondering what happens with what they did and what else would happen. thanks

Its gets sent to the FBI for background checks.

You basically sit and wait until you are approved or until you get an interview.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I can only answer the second question. After my bio, I received a letter from Immigration requesting that I attend an 'Intital Interview'. The letter listed numerous documentation and suppporting evidence that I needed to bring with me. Oh, I should say my husband, the US citizen, was required to attend too.

At the interview, the interviewer had my file in front of her. She asked some questions and requested some evidence. After about 20 minutes, she told me my Permanent residency was granted. A week later, I received a letter from immigration stating that pending document checks, my green card would arrive in 3 weeks.

A 2 year card.

The interview would either approve or deny the adjustment of status.

Some people don't have interviews and are just mailed approvals.

No set times only approximation times for how long it would take for the interview notice or approval.

If you didn't get the EAD or AP card it may come soon or it may not come at all before the green card. You would get an approval notice about it before getting the card in the mail.

What might the reasons be for denying the adjustment of status for my wife? Also what happens if that was ever to happen to us?
