you will get a NOA1 in the mail as soon as they read it. Once your petition is approved, you will get an NOA2, then you go from there with the interviews etc.

No, I believe it is for ROC.

OP -- I'm guessing it's the same as when you sent in your check for the IR1/CR1 visa?

Yeah, it's about the ROC because some people they know right away when the packet was delivered and when the check was cashed.

Well depending on what mail method you used it to send it you can check if they received it or not. Do you have a tracking number, delivery confirmation? You're going to know when they cashed the check when those funds and no longer in your account, the amount of time to cash it varies.

People check their bank account to see if the money is taken out of their account.

People get tracking numbers to see when its delivered.
