I believe you can add signature confirmation. Sometimes it delays things by a day since they have to wait for someone to come sign for it. By delay, I mean you don't get the delivery confirmation from USPS for an extra day. Planning to send everything in tomorrow.

Are you sending yours via Express Mail too? We're just wondering what would be the best way to mail it?

We've decided to print our pictures at home and now we're running low on ink, LOL. XD

I think we'll be sending our packet via USPS Express Mail with Return Receipt - can you add Signature Confirmation to Express Mail?

I did the same thing lol!

I did the same thing lol!

Jim has a 4-day weekend due to the New Year holiday and we just wanted to stay home and not have to go out (we are homebodies, LOL and there's a snow storm here) so he said, let's just print the pictures ourselves ^_^ I guess it wasn't such a good idea - we made copies of so many documents, now he has to go out and buy more ink XD Oh I love him!

I couldn't send it today because the post office is closed - should have thought about it. I wasn't planning on adding a signature confirmation, but probably will send with express mail. I think the first time we mailed we used express mail, but it has been so long :)

I read a couple of posts about adding Signature Confirmation to Express Mail and I guess it does delay delivery a bit because they leave a notice in the PO Box and someone has to pick it up and sign for it the next day. :( I guess we'll just send it Express Mail without any add-on services. :)

We just sent our package yesterday. We've been ready since early November, but some unexpected financial emergencies kept us from being able to mail it in till now. Still well within the deadline, but a stressful wait nonetheless.

Included as evidence:

- Tax return for 2010 (filed jointly).

- Bank statements for joint account (random months for the past year).

- Insurance cards and a copy of a service summary showing me as policy holder and my wife as beneficiary.

- Mail, bills, pay stubs and receipts showing our names and address.

- Leases for every place we've lived in (three in all, not counting her parents' place, as we were subletting it and didn't have a formal lease).

- A few pictures taken throughout our time together, in various places (New England, West Virginia, Pennsylvania...) Would have sent more, but Ashley vetoed any pics she didn't like herself in :P "But babe, the more evidence the better!" "We'll be fine, I'm not letting anyone see THAT picture".

- Affidavits from three people.

Good luck, everyone :)

Hi All!

I'm preparing our I-751 as we speak and was curious as to the importance people placed with the affadivit from friends/family...

In the pinned topic it seems like these are not important but it is one of the listed items in the actual I-751 instructions; thoughts?

Here's what we have:

Copy of Green Card

Birth Certificate of our son

Residential lease

Health Care enrollment information

Auto Insurance coverage

Beneficiary information for retirement funds

Property Insurance

Joint Bank Account information

Flight confirmation and pictures from recent trips

Holiday Card (Tis' the season after all!)

I included them just to be safe. Many people said that they are not necessary if you have strong supporting evidence already, but for the very reason you stated above, I went ahead and included them. It can't hurt, right?
