Thank you so much, my friends! I am feeling much calmer. I just hope they have our file there. No touches or notice of transfer to local office. I have heard of interviews scheduled and then the IO not having the file and needing to reschedule. Anyways, everyone should log in to VJ around 10:00 Thursday morning to see the status Approved after our 9:15 interview! :)

The next action can be the decision (in 6-8 months, right now, since the NOA date), if you don't get RFE, or be called for interview. You will need more paperwork in the case of RFE or interview. All that is left now is waiting. :(

Good luck!

Hi Everyone-

We just got home from the interview. They kept us waiting for over an hour in the waiting room. Our interviewer was really nice and kind with us. I was surprised how many questions she asked us, though. Nothing really relating to our relationship, more about financial things. I had already submitted a ton of evidence with the initial filing, and she was looking through it while talking with us. I gave our most recent bills, bank statements, and several more letters from friends attesting to our relationship. The interview was probably 15 minutes long. She took a lot of notes probably to compare with what we had submitted. My husband did not know the answer to all of her questions like his SSN, but luckily I did. I also had to correct him on a couple of dates like when he started school and when he moved in to my house. (Stayed with my parents for a month when he arrived). She didn't seem to be really concerned about anything. Sadly though, she told us that we have to wait 30-60 days for a response. If anything is missing or they need to speak to us again, they will contact us. There was no indication that this was just a random pick, so I hope that there isn't something I am not aware of that needs to be resolved or sent in further delaying the processing. Sigh. I feel like we did the best we could and gave them what they want, so now it is just the waiting game again. Gotta love the slow wheels of the USCIS! Thanks for all of your support. If anyone else gets called for an interview and needs advice, contact me.

Thank you updating us! I'm pretty sure everything wil be okay. Did you check online? I remember a friend went to an interview and they told her she will have to wait 30 days for a response , but when she went home and checked her case status online it showed that her card production was ordered.

Thanks for updating ~~

I am surprised that they didn't ask a lot about the relationship but focusing on the financial aspect...

Can you give us some examples of those "finance-related" questions?

Thanks!!

Yes, still no touches as of Jan. 5th when they sent the NOA1. I saw a barcode on our file, but apparently they didn't scan it when it arrived.

Yes. They wanted to know about joint accounts, joint property (we have none since we rent), which benefits we both get from insurance, taxes filed jointly. I think that's it. We were asked if we have children (no) and if we had traveled together recently (yes). I brought some extra pictures but forgot to give them to her. We had already submitted several as well as all of the "joint financial info." but I just repeated what I had already sent in. A lot of what we were asked was to verify what I put on the application like address, phone numbers, etc. SHe just checked things off as she asked the questions.

Thanks for the update, menina.

Hopefully you'll receive the approval sooner than 30-60 days. wink.gif

Did the interviewer seem to ask you more questions than she did to your husband?

Not really. It was pretty equal. In the beginning she asked a lot of basic facts like name, date of birth, address, etc. all directed at him. Then a few financial things directed at me. Finally some joint questions about travel, work, etc. None of the questions was really surprising--pretty standard. My only surprise was that they would ask things we had already answered in the AOS interview. I had heard that the ROC interviews were real quick and more of a formality, but we were asked pretty much the same things as before except nothing about honeymoon or wedding other than to verify the location of it.
