Pictures are not considered primary evidence so it's not a big deal if you didn't send any ;) I looked through the instructions again and they don't mention pictures as evidence of relationship. The only photo requirements I found were for 2 passport-style photos required for applicants overseas on government orders for Biometrics and photos documenting abuse (if filing I-751 with waiver).

Oh! ^_^ Sorry about that! No, you won't need the passport size photos unless you're overseas on government orders - they'll take your picture at your Biometrics appointment ;)

Had a little scare today. My appointment was at 2pm today. The Atlanta ASC is only a 30 min maximum drive in traffic to reach there but we had planned to leave home at 1pm. Good thing we stuck to it as our car had a mind of it's own. Didn't want to start.. 1pm key in the ignition.. car is whining, 1:15pm asked neighbors to help jumpstart the battery but there is not enough spark to get the engine runnning. At 1:30pm 2nd try with a different jumper cable and helper the car engine roared by 1:40pm we were on our way!! Reached at the center 2:07pm place was almost empty had 2 other people ahead of me within 10 minutes I was done. Im glad it's over, my head was spinning what if I reach there late and they dont allow me to enter etc!! Now Im officially participating in the waiting game as I am a VSC applicant. Been reading the other threads in this forum VSC has just started processing may 2nd 2011 cases while CSC has processed most of July(70%)and august (54%) VJ applicants cases! I hope there will be no RFE and get a response before October 7th as I will be eligible to file for citizenship then.

Hello, just a little something to share with everyone, I contacted USCIS today and they informed me that some online cases may take a while to be updated in the system, in case some people trying to follow their case online and can't check this is why. Oh Vermont you need to speed up! Also, the biometrics I did on 1/27 were received by vermont on 1/31, so I'm guessing they take about 4-5 days to recieve biometrics.... Now I just have to wait :) "patience is a virtue"

Hello Everyone :) Hope everyone is well.

Been a while since I"ve been on the site. So many things have changed since my husband's arrival.

A baby (birthday is tomorrow as a matter of fact) and a new home. Things are great. We are truly blessed :thumbs:

Anywho...just wanted to add our name to the Jan 2012 I-751 filers AND ask a few questions as well.

We sent our I-751 package to CSC on Jan 19 and it arrived on the 20th (with confirmation) and the check for it was cashed on Jan 24th. I thought we would have received the NOA1 by now but alas, nothing.

So now I have questions:

When will we get the NOA1? (I'm thinking we aren't getting it - probably never sent/lost in mail)

Is the NOA1 just the notice that the I-751 was received or is it the actual extention of the greencard?

When can we anticipate getting the biometrics letter? Is the biometrics letter the extention letter?

If you go to a walk-in biometrics vs. the date given for biometrics, does that delay or speed up the process (yes, I know it's going to be quite a few months but I just wondered if it helps)?

What's the phone number to contact USCIS - California Service Center? Any short cuts through the phone tree would be appreciated.

Hello, just a little something to share with everyone, I contacted USCIS today and they informed me that some online cases may take a while to be updated in the system, in case some people trying to follow their case online and can't check this is why. Oh Vermont you need to speed up! Also, the biometrics I did on 1/27 were received by vermont on 1/31, so I'm guessing they take about 4-5 days to recieve biometrics.... Now I just have to wait :) "patience is a virtue"

I think some cases aren't even trackable online? It probably depends on each particular adjudicator. Maybe some don't scan them into the system OR scan them only when they first receive the packet OR only scan them in during the later stages (approval / card production?). We can't know for sure because the packets probably change hands during the whole process.

BTW, how did you find out when the service center received your biometrics? :)

Hi! I've added you to the CSC list!

  • You should receive the NOA within 30 days of filing the I-751. If you still haven't received it after the 30 days are up, you can contact the USCIS so they can send you another copy.
    The NOA is the extension letter.
  • You should also receive the Biometrics notice within 30 days, they usually send the appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of the scheduled appointment.

    No one knows for sure whether doing an early walk-in actually speeds up the process.
  • There is no direct number to the CSC but you can call the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283
    * 1-800-767-1833 (TDD for the hearing impaired)
    If you or your spouse / sponsor is a member of the military, you can call the Military Help Line at 1-877-247-4645
  • USCIS Service Centers
    If you contacted the National Customer Service Center with a case-related inquiry and more than 30 days have passed and you have not received a response, you may email the appropriate USCIS Service Center with your inquiry:
