I'm planning on giving my fiancee her engagement ring when she gets here in the U.S. for good reasons. Had done this before 2 years go with a prior fiancee and the wedding was called off and I never got the ring back. My current fiancee is going for her interview next month and I don't know if there are going to be any red flags that might prevent her from getting Visa. What are your experience with this?

That's a good point. But there is a section in the i-129f instruction in regards to the "Letter Of Intent". It says to also provide evidence of intent to marry. Since I am an American citizen, a proof of intent would be an engagement ring. I'm just worried that when she shows in Moscow for her interview they are going to see her without an engagement ring and don't know if that will raise some red flags.

Having a ring almost never is a red flag. I say you're good to go.

you are fine, im sure you can provide sufficient documents or proof in regards with the petition, consider also those engagements pictures you have and it more helpful than just an engagement ring.

We submitted an engagement announcement in my local paper and Ahmed has copies of the paper it was published in. This might be a good idea(and in my local paper it was free). We used a picture from when I was there in April of this year. He will also have updated letters of intent from each of us for his interview.

When my ex and I got engaged he gave me an engagement ring, and we included the receipt for the purchase of the ring in our I-129F petition (that was approved pretty quickly). But I don't think it made our petition's approval come any faster ;) It's just a nice sign of love and commitment in the couple's relationship.

Don't fret, OP!

I had my interview in Moscow in July.

I had a ring, but I didn't even take it with me to the Embassy, didn't have any problem.

I don't think it will be a red flag besides some girls have their engagement ring but they were still denied or put on AP/AR.
