i met my finace on dec 16th 2009, and i filed my i129f on dec 12th(i mailed that day)..n it says that we have to prove to that we have met before withing 2 years..but my date is almost close to 2 yrs..would tht be a problem for us??? (in my passport, the stamp says tht i returned in usa on dec.20th 2009.)

No within two years is within two years exactly.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

You can do that, but I would wait until you get NOA 1, which should happen within a couple of weeks, and see what date it says on it- you won;t be able to visit before then anyway. If you decide to send in a new petition after visiting again, be sure to withdraw the old petition first by sending a letter to USCIS.

If you disagree with a moderator's decision, you can contact Captain Ewok via the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of every page, or report the post so other moderators can look at it. FYI, removed posts remain visible to moderators.

Thanks for the laugh. After some a-hole moderator banned me for 48 hours for no good reason, I wrote to Ewok. No reply whatsoever. This site is a great place if you want to be a petty tyrant.

I remember Tim's post, maybe it was a bit harsh, but there was some value in it, IMO it should not have been moderated.

I apologize for my bluntness. In this case: The petitioner waited until the bitter end. My point was: You can extend the NOA2 if you follow Rules and the Counsulate will decide. There are lots of reasons to BEG for an extention and some are approved.

You can LOCK-IN a NOA2 by staying in touch. Pay the Visa Fee good for 1 year and no need to ask for extentions. As I said: The Medical is good for 6 months.

A good member here gave me this advice and it worked. Thanks D______L.

Yeah, do not make any decisions until you get the NOA1 which should be soon. And yes you need to withdraw one petition before filing another.
